Well it could be DLAW has already decided he wants off this team, and doesnt want to be traded.
He may just wait it out and become FA and then get shoulder fixed, and then sign with another team of his choosing.
He has millions left over from last year and a year off might be what he wants.

To me this seems like he doesnt want to play this year, and he wants to get away from the jones boys, far away!
Like I said in another post, players are usually offended by the first tag. It rarely works out with that player later
signed by team that tagged him.

He may be asking for what he knows they wont pay, and keep the injury thing going, so maybe they wont tag him while he is hurt.
I dont think any player has been tagged while he was hurt and cant play.
So not fixing the shoulder could help him avoid the tag and get away from jones boys!
He may not want to play for cowboys, doesnt anyone get that?

The whole situation sucks. I'd trade him if we could but no one is going to do that without the shoulder situation being resolved. Would have to take pennies on the dollar for a good player. I don't like players holding the franchise hostage.
I wonder if he just winds up getting released.

Exactly. Only a melvin would not consider that. The only way Lawrence gets back to 100% is with surgery. Rest and rehab may be fine for you and me but not for a professional athlete.
How's the team's circus freak gimp doing for you, Dr. Goob?
Still never be able to be a real NFL player?

Lawrence had no problem with the Cowboys paying him top dollar in 2018 while he rewarded them with an injured player.

And he's ready to do it again this year.

If your hands aren't balled up in fists of rage right now I quite frankly question your fandom.

as I said before I wouldn't be surprised to see Tank gone without a contract. All the signs were there they had no intention on signing him this year or last year. They traded up to get him, he performed better than expectations, but that's too rich for them apparently. He'll get replaced by some underachieving bum that couldn't cut it elsewhere being a 1st round pick or wherever that player was drafted and we might just stick to patchwork 1 year contracts because giving contracts makes the team feel uncomfortable.

He’a saying that if Tank continues this game of delaying his shoulder surgery it will cost him in terms of what he gets. You expect him to be out there from day one if you’re paying him top dollar. Otherwise there’s a discount for time expected to be missed.
? Eithher they pay him 120% of the de franchise tag or he walks right? I don’t see a discount there if tank doesn’t want it.

I’ll tell you what my doc told me. I have had shoulder pain for years from an old basketball injury. Didn’t hurt for years unless I over extended it but as I hit my 40s it got to the point where it messed up work outs and my arm would collapse in serious pain even doing push-ups. Found out I had two tears. He told me he didn’t want to operate because no matter how good the doctor...and this guy is highly respected..,you can’t guarantee a perfect surgery. He said it’s very easy to overcorrect it and it makes it tighter and restricts movement. So they gave me the horse tranquilizer steroid shot and the pain left for about a year. Stopped the irritation so it could relax. I know it’s a different ballgame here but just what I’ve been told on surgeries and what might be going through his head

Well DLaw is not exactly making smart decision here. I mean, with a $100 million dollar contract on the line why is he refusing to have surgery on his arm?

If he was smart, he would have had surgery the day after the Ram's loss. But no, he apparently thinks walking into Jerry's office with one working arm and asking for $100 million is the better option.

Like I said, he is not exactly making smart business decisions right now.
It seems like he wants out?
