Know your enemy.
It's the guy online that misdiagnoses, makes assumptions, makes Gawd-awful names and blurts out stupid crap constantly.

I feel like I know you...

I don’t get the non surgery by him. How does this help him in negotiations?

Well he seems to believe the Cowboys will want him at full strength and think they better sign him ASAP so he can have that surgery. The problem is he apparently tried this last year too and it didn't work.

The Cowboys supposedly don't have a good relationship with his agent and I can see why. This is a pretty low down dirty tactic.

4-6 weeks recovery time from surgery. So big Whoopi
Hey man, I don't want to get into it with you but you do come off very confrontational. Maybe lighten up a bit? It's all just a discussion about our Cowboys. Sorry in advance if this offends you. Not my intent and it's all good.

Well you haven’t been here too long. I have issues with the posters who always post negative crap. If you pay attention to my replies you’ll see that I’m replying to those who ALWAYS post negative crap. Yes, there’s a lot of them here. If I can persuade just 1 of them to change their ways, then I feel I’ve helped the board. It’s a good place to keep up with the Cowboys. We don’t need these types to constantly whine about anything the Cowboys do. They keep throwing out the “yeah but what have they done in the last 20+ years?”. It’s an ignorant take. These posters are just morons or trolls.

Both sides are wrong and both sides are right..

Tank won’t play under the tag and if he does, he will sign it at the last minute and then get his surgery at the last minute. So then you don’t get a full season out of him and he still gets some pocket change on the way out because then he becomes a free agent and he walks in 2020.

Tank already told us this did he not?

He wanted a contract or he was going to play hardball.

Be mad all you want it’s just business and it’s a statement. Don’t tag me twice..

Jerry and the Cowboys are not victims here, their just holding the money.. On the flip side there’s always a risk, nobody wants to pay for damaged goods. It would be foolish to give him a contract without knowing the results of the surgery. What if the doctor slips?

Nobody wins but it just seems that Tank thought he had some type of agreement by playing on the tag last season and so now he’s playing hardball.. It sucks for the fans but it’s not our bodies out there getting mangled.

Maybe he should just take a year off and then test the market. I bet he gets stuck with another one year type prove it deal.. Nope nobody wins..

Having said all that I still believe they come to an agreement...

Man it amazes me how many dumb fans we have LMAO! I'll never side with teams when it comes to player contracts in these scenarios. D-Law did what was asked of him, he bet on himself and WON. PAY THE MAN

Thats for a full tear. Lawrence doesnt have that IMO. Which makes it even more stupid not to have had it done by now. He couldve already had it done and been back to 100%.

DLaw has a torn labrum which severely restricts movement of his arm.

He needs to have surgery to fix it, but he doesn't want to have the surgery until he signs a new long term contract.

Jerry aint playing that, if he is going to dish out top 5 money then he wants a player in tip top physical shape, which DLaw is not. See above.

Bottom line...……..Jerry aint doing a long term deal until DLaw gets his shoulder operated on...…...that's the big takeaway message here.

interesting. This tells me at very least DLAW camp thinks this shoulder injury might be more serious. No doubt Dallas would have their doctors in the operating room looking at damage of that shoulder. This might not go as smoothly as I thought.

If he doesnt sign we dont have his rights. We cant trade him and he doesnt have to play if he doesnt want to. But he will forfeit that 20 mil. But Dallas still has to have that 20 mil available for a long time and wont be able to use it for a while

He may not want to play for cowboys, doesnt anyone get that?
Yes.

And it would not be the first time a player played games in order to be released.

What was the guy who we had about 6 or 7 years back whom we signed to a large deal..

only to not report and claimed he was injured and we had forced him to play anyway.

I want to say it was Spencer but it was his buddy.

Spencer was another guy we gave a big contract to and he immediately had injury problems and washed out..

I believe the guys name was Ratliff.

He was a real f--ked up deal for us and it got nasty.
