Lawrence's asking price is high. But I'd sign him before I'd throw huge money at the rest of those names you've mentioned. Nobody has actually earned his Keep and his payday the way Lawrence has.

It's tough. Rock and a hard place stuff.
You would, but where has Dallas prioritized the money? Yes he's earned money, but he isnt worth 23mil a yr. The way the rules go, there is no DL worth that. i know Lawrence has flashed season numbers.

Lawrence has 25 sacks the last 2 yrs.

10 of them sacks have come in 4 games. So in the other 28 games he has 15 sacks.

He provides pressure and is solid against the run. And is he changing the rsults of games the way Donald and Mack are? The answer is no.

So yes he has earned money, but has he earned Donald and Mack money? The answer is Hell no. If you watch Trey Flowers and Lawrence you see a mirror of eachother. This is the value range he's in.

Great. Now trade for Ogbah. Then get on the phone to Demarcus's agent and tell him he is free to seek a contract worth 23 mil a year with 31 other teams. Once they find the partner. Sign the tag and trade his azz.

What is wrong with you people? Ogbah and Quinn are not even close to equal to Lawrence. If we trade Lawrence, we take a step backward with no guarantee we can find a replacement for what he provides. Even with a first-round pick, we could easily end up with another Taco Charlton.

A deal will be worked out with Lawrence. Right now, each side is negotiating to get the best possible deal for them. Eventually they will meet in the middle and Lawrence will be paid what he is worth in today's market.

As I mentioned in an earlier post and was mocked for, Quinn may be the replacement for Lawrence. At the very least, his acquisition does two things: 1) He gives the Cowboys an established pass rusher and 2) He gives the Cowboys more leverage in the Lawrence negotiation.

Quinn isn't a full time replacement for Lawrence. Really would be best as the replacement for Gregory in a rotation.

Quinn is a good pass rusher. I love this deal. Especially if it's a sixth round pick.
I would still be aggressively looking for more pass rushing help - keep a close eye on Ezekiel Asnah's health, and see what the Bucs are looking to do with Gerald McCoy.
Boy, a DL of Quinn-McCoy-Draft-Asnah or D-Law
With Woods, Covington, Collins, Taco & Armstrong as depth would be amazing.
With a rotation like that, QBs will be singing,
"They came upon me wave on wave".

I thought I heard on Gbag it will be a late round pick next year around 4th round and we may be able to recoup the pick if he leaves after 1 by receiving a compensatory pick in 2021.

You are forgetting a few things. Signing lawrence to 23 mil per will limit the ability to sign others. If Dlaw is traded then we will have more draft capital.
It's not Quinn and Ogbah vs DLAW it is Quinn, Ogbah, Whomever we could draft with the picks, the ability to sign every other FA we have and maybe even add a Mccoy or Suh etc. VS Dlaw.
Plus he is looking like a bit of a ****** to me right now.

Man, every one wants to trade Lawrence, but think of the pass rush with both of these guys!

Not really...you got one really loud poster that needs ....

Trading Lawrence would be the dumbest thing we could do.

Right now....Cowboys are playing hardball through the media....which is a bad tactic. If that's the way they want to play it...of course the price is going to go up.

Then you just ruined us getting a comp pick

Maybe...but maybe when he realizes he is screwed for 2019 (read not making much money and possibly out all season) he signs at the reduced rate.

I would not stand for a player negotiating in bad faith. If I meet your demand and you turn around and ask for more...the claws are out. I don't play games and I certainly don't negotiate against myself. What did that clown say years ago on SNL? "Homey don't play that."

Don't drug test him first though...
