So you are fine with 85 mil guaranteed
I love the player but there is no way I’m guarantee 85 million
I'm more concerned with them putting a quality product on the field than I am with an egotistical Billionaire being limited on how many more jets, helicopters and yachts he can purchase.

That’s not important though
22 or 24 doesn’t really matter
The guarantee is what matters

Understood. But it matters if we want to keep him for close to, or for the duration of the contract.

This isn't the 90s, we have a salary cap.....(owners being cheap excuse doesn't work nowadays, you have to spend almost 90% of the cap in a multi year span or pay a penalty).

Jerry isn't buying more jets by not paying Tank, the issue is future cap space for a player that is about to have off-season surgery for the 3rd straight year.

Jerry’s money and the cap are two separate things
85 million is a huge amount to guarantee a player who needs surgery now, has had a suspension and is not the top player on the edge
I want the player but not at the cost of one of the LB’s in a few years

Very few guys play out
And tank you don’t want for 6 yrs anyway
You want an out in 3-4 years
I want an out in 3-4 years on every second contract

Letting him walk without a comparable player to replace him is going to be critical to the team not having success. Plus they have the cap space might as well pay him. D isn’t good enough to overcome not having him, Irving, and Gregory.

No complaining next year when we have no pass rush.
Even with him our pass rush is mediocre especially in second half season. Our D May very well take a hit then again they may do enough to keep it average with other additions

I consider Dak , Zeke and Coop more important as well I think smith and Jones are pretty key as well. I’d like to keep tank but not at the risk of losing the some of the others

Oh I know that conner, it's just more fun to rag on Jerry about everything this way.

I never said that they called him that, just to be careful if it ever comes to that happening as the contract discussion between the team and him go on.
Ooooh. Well, in that case, they need to be careful about calling him a whiny ******** P.O.S., too. Not that they have, but, you know... They better be careful not to.

Let's get something straight....I paid 54.00 for these @ the stadium. 2 watered down Crown and cokes. (double shots)...and they aren't even full shots. They splash the top.

So please tell me how the players are being greedy again?....

It's really the Agent and the NFLPA that are most greedy. The Player a lot of the time gets dragged into fray without advocating for every last dollar.

LOL, ok, I'll play....Soooooo, good ole Jerry pulled off one of the NFL's biggest heists in the history of the NFL.........but hasn't been able to come even close to a trade that actually favors the Cowboys since then........29 years..............I guess that trade just took it all out of such a wheeler dealer like Jerry....:lmao2:...I'm sorry I just can't stop laughing that someone exists that actually believes what you replied.
We just got Quinn for a 6th, trader JJ has His mojo back:flagwave:

That's true too, in most cases. But how do we get him to accept much less in guaranteed money? He's asking 85, right? What are we realistically expecting him to accept? 50-60M? Since the contract is so big, there really isn't a good way to structure that without either a high dead cap at the end, or a high cap hit up front. But I'll concede your point when we're talking a few mil here and there. The guaranteed money has a much bigger impact.

jones' can say whatever he or they want. THEY RUN AND OWN THE TEAM. They are the employer. Why is that notion so hard to understand? ITS NOT UNLIKE ANY BUSINESS MODEL. You have THE BOSS, OWNERSHIP, AND YES, THE PLAYERS ARE EMPLOYEE'S. Tank either works and gets paid, or he can be gone. Get the shoulder fixed, sign the tag so we can work out something...and go to work on the field.
