Considering the Tank contract issues, and what Mosley just signed for(5/85m, 51g), should we get a replacement targeted in this draft? Or would you pay him the going rate?

Assuming no hometown/we believed in you discount...he’s awesome but can’t pay everyone. He is a RFA. That’s the challenge with drafting a guy injured, you don’t get to take advantage of his rookie contract.

i think if he wasn't injured, he'd be a urfa. so we actually get to count that first year as a redshirt because he is now only a rfa.

i'd sign him. we have over 100m next year in cap. no reason not to sign a cornerstone top 4 mlb in his prime who is still improving as he heals from his injury. i had read that he still wasn't 100% last year and if so, he's an all-pro from here on out.

Don't forget as an RFA, there would pick draft pick compensation (likely a 1st) for any other team to sign him. A first and big money is a tough pill to swallow for a very good, but not elite player.
