TE- Lost Swaim; Gained Witten and McCelroy
DE- Gained Quinn and Hyder
DT- Gained Covington
SAF- Gained Iloka

Think we upgraded at all those positions, while only downgrading at LB and slot, and I guess backup RB. And this is before the draft. If we can continually improve our roster in free agency with cap savvy moves, then continue drafting well that's a recipe for success.

See them pretty much as lateral moves that filled holes.

lets slow our roll We can judge free agency in due time, during the season. Now aint the time, its premature.I do like the signings though.

these don't tend to be available without extra baggage

we happened to obtain one last season (amari)

how many explosive playmaking tight ends exist today? our young lbs are explosive/playmaking enough
c'mon.... those are some weak excuses....baggage??? what does that even mean????

we got older and slower instead of younger and faster.... on purpose

Witten, SLee, AHurns, Iloka, No RB, Quinn make Tony Romo look fast

Sean Lee and Hurns were already on the team

Quinn ran a 4.62 40(91 percentile)
Before back surgeries for Quinn

SLee had no guarantees left and AHurns' option was picked up ....they were gone and we would have saved over 12m in cap space

Witten was in the booth

Them still being on the team doesnt make us slower, this has nothing to do with contracts

And Quinn still has speed. If you dont believe that, you haven't watched him. John Owning has a great breakdown on twitter if you haven't

For the first time in years, I feel like free agency has been a net positive. While I was disappointed that we were not in on ET, I understand passing for that price. Other than that, we’ve added Quinn, Cobb, Iloka, C Covington, Hyder, Fleming, Olawale, Ross, Woods, March-Lillard, and Witten, and lost only Beasley, Swaim, and D Wilson. If we can get Lawrence done for $20m/per, will be ideal offseason. Kudos, FO

I agree, but Cobb and Quinn are really the only two that will really make a difference. Witten I like, not sure that was really FA. But I do like most of the signings as cost conscious moves.

If we get a DT or safety with our 2nd round pick Ill be happy. Take a nice young RB with the 3rd or 4th and Ill be even more happy.

I think that's the plan

Wow so if a player had the production of 120 catches you still wouldn't want him on the team because of whatever issue you have with him... nice

How do we know if these free agent signings are success.
They haven't played a single game yet.
