“Quinn’s 2018 campaign seemed unremarkable at a glance. With the Miami Dolphins, he was the No. 2 pass-rushing threat behind Cameron Wake. Quinn managed only 6.5 sacks, but in a complementary role, that is a pretty impressive stat. For the sake of comparison, Quinn’s 6.5 sacks would have ranked second on the Cowboys in 2018, just in front of Randy Gregory’s sack total (6.0).

Age was not a big factor for the 29-year old Quinn in 2018. According to ESPN’s Pass Rush Win Ratemetric, he was the best edge rusher in terms of beating his man at the point of attack with a win rate of 40 percent. ESPN’s PRWR is denoted by a pass rusher’s ability to beat his man within 2.5 seconds (the average time for the quarterback to release the ball).”

I guess that is why McClay was pushing for us to make this happen

Yet you’re laying a guy likely 10+m$ (8+incentives) that hasn’t made a pro bowl in 5 years and you outbid the entire nfl with a 6th round pick.

8 million plus incentives isn’t a lot for a DE, at all.

Also, any time a player is traded for, it means you outbid the rest of the NFL for them. Yet trades can obviously still be beneficial to teams.

Which makes your post idiotic.

A 2020 6th rounder is equivalent to a 2019 7th rounder. Basically nothing. Yes, he is getting paid $8 million. He gets a $1 million incentive if he gets 7 or more sacks. So if he gets 7 sacks then Dallas will pay him $9 million next year. Trey Flowers just got an $18 million a year contract and had 7.5 sacks last year.

Collins

LVE
Jaylon

I’m pretty excited about this defense.

Now I’m getting greedy and really want to add Gerald McCoy. Would take us to another level.

How much did the eagles just pay Brandon Graham? How many pro bowls has he made btw?

If you’re going to come on the board and troll, at least try to do it intelligently.

Quin already got his bonus $1.12 from the dolphins. So he's really getting 9 plus incentives to reach 10.

The most important thing to remember is that Quinn got those 6.5 sacks on a bad team that often was playing from behind, so their opponent didn't have to pass. On a better team, where he gets to play with a lead and tee off, he probably gets 10+ sacks. That is why this win rate is so important.
