Will Dak end up being the greatest QB in Cowboys history? This guy, who seems to be a Romo homer, seems to think Dak will end up being just that. He makes some very valid points in this vid to include QB comparisons to Romo, Aikman and comparisons of current QBs since Dak has been in the NFL. Take a look and then share your thoughts.

First of all if you have to take 18 minutes to make your case, it gets to be more supposition and manipulation of statistics than actual proof of your position, at least to me.

Second, the other Dallas quarterbacks have far more history than Dak, too early to make the supposition. I just don't care for the "what if" type of posts that much.

Could Dak be the greatest Dallas quarterback ever? Sure, anything's possible, but that's like saying the Cowboys could be the first team to win 7 or 8 or 10 Super Bowls, yes they could, they have 5 now, and if by some stretch Dak wins like Brady, or the team wins like the Patriots, then 5 more is attainable.

But it's all unknown at this point...

On here, until he wins a SB you won't get away with comparing him to Romo and until he wins 4 you won't get away with comparing him to Aikman. No amount of SB wins will make him as good as Staubach.

I don't know, if he gets 3 like Troy, I think a lot of folks will compare him to Aikman. Not as far as passing skills, but winning SBs tends to make a lot of people overlook how you did it...

Was a discussion on tv today about if Eli will make the HOF. It was pointed out that his overall record is 116-114, and despite his 2 SB wins he might not make it.

Remember Plunkett won 2 SBs and he was not ever close to making it. Of course Eli plays in New York and that will help him out to some degree...

Well, let me just say this, if we are talking about GOAT at the position of QB in Dallas, that discussion starts with Roger Staubach in my book. Secondly, if you are going to set your sites on Roger, you better pack an All Day Lunch cause you are going to need it.

If you want to unseat that guy, you better be more then just a player that was good enough to be in the discussion as the greatest QB in the history of the game. You better be be prepared to go well beyond that.

You better be a Vet, you better be a Heisman Trophy winner, you better lead a life that is worthy of being the Man of the Year, you better be more then just a highly successful business man, you better be active in your community and active with charities to the point that it allows you to be recognized as worthy of the Medal of Freedom, the highest individual award this country can give to any private citizen for meritorious contributions to the Nation.

You better understand that simply being among the very best ever at the position of QB is just the start. You better be all that an more after Football ends if you want to be in the running as the GOAT in Dallas.

Hey, I hope Dak does have his sites set on that very lofty goal and I hope he does get to a point where we can have that kind of discussion around him but you ain't gonna get there by hanging in the Bars with the Fellas or messing with the honeys on the down low. I mean, I have nothing against any player who wants to enjoy a little life in that manner, they are young men, I get it. But, if you want the title, you better understand that you gotta be much, much better then that.

It's a lifetime of honorable commitment. That's where you gotta start, if you wanna take the title.

Plus, Eli wears the Manning brand — America’s First Family of Quarterbacks.

That's pushing it. If Dak wins 3 rings he's right there with the legends.

But he'll have to win 3 playoff games before we can talk about rings. He's got a lot of work to do.

It's threads like this that make me lose faith at times in our fanbase.
just total nonsense

Most of us are really pulling for Dak, but come on!

The last sentence says it all but beyond that he is saddled with Garrett who will stifle his best efforts .
