The only guys we didn't re-do were Dez after pro-rating his 20m signing bonus..... they were never comfortable with his dealYou were also clear that we have cap space in 2019 because we haven't been restructuring contracts like we use too, but we have. Lol I showed you we have done it for the past 4 years and we still have cap space in 2019. The past few years has been no different than the previous few years, which was no different than the previous few years. We have restructure over 80m the last 4 years and were setting at 20m in cap space right now after just signing Dlaw. Sign Cooper and we'll have at least 25m in cap space. All while restructuring 80m+ the past 4 years. And have 90m+ for next years cap.
You don't have to agree that we should restructure just for the sake of restructuring. But to say we have cap space in 2019 because we haven't restructured the last few years is flawed at best and just isn't true
Amen.... the Romo deals, the Carr deal and the DWare deal were some of the best cap management deals around.... they were ahead of their timeRestructuring Romo was never bad. Despite all the dead money, we still saved $34M in cap space over his 2 dead years, and that was worst case scenario with a forced retirement for Dak.
Nah. We were restructuring all over the place just to get under the cap. This year nada, 2018 minimal. Your restructuring and kicking the can down the road strategy is a losing strategy. Glad the cowboys agree. You were also clear that we have cap space in 2019 because we haven't been restructuring contracts like we use too, but we have. It’s for people who mismanage the cap to get under it.You said restructuring is a tool that should be used to get under the cap. That's what the Romos and other restructures were for. We never did it to make a run. We never did the way nightman suggests we should do it that you so disagree with. It was and always has been to for cap relief.
Exactly when are are you talking about that we were restructuring all over the place? Last year we did about 12.5m. Not much difference than 2016 when we did about 16m worth. 2017 we did 27m, not much difference than 2015 when we did about 30m. You do realize the 27m we did in 2017 is part of this years cap when, according to you, we have cap space because we haven't restructured the last few years. And what is you definition of "few".Nah. You just laid out a perfect trail of less and less. Finally culminating to zero this year. That’s called a downward trend. Is this too complicated for you?Exactly when are are you talking about that we were restructuring all over the place? Last year we did about 12.5m. SJones just got cheap and fell in love with Comp Picks....we are the DAL Cowboys with 800m in revenues and not the GB Packers or CIN Bengals.... use the Cash advantage as a weapon
sarcasm...... how originalSeriously, what gives? Why aren't Jerry and Stephen paying everything they can to ensure Dallas has the most well-stocked roster on the planet? I mean, their revenues are like $300M more than the next closest team. Don't they realize that?
The Jones' are pretty much acting like there's a mechanism in place designed to minimize the ability of a single team to out-purchase everyone else.
Come on, Jerry. Come on, Stephen. You make more than everyone else so SPEND MORE!
