This team can't pay everybody, I'm all for picking up Zeke's fifth year option, franchise tag for a year and then let him go...
but this team needs a backup running back, not a third down back or specialty back, it needs a legitimate backup/starter type who can give Zeke a series off or jump in and start in case Zeke is ever injuried..

So that is 3 more seasons. No one knows what the cap situation will be like then. But most likely there will be cap space.
Then again Zeke could be used up too.
Too far away to be concerned with.

not as day 1 starter or zeke replacement me either BUT if you get him in the 4th round and he is Zekes backup? I say yes he might be more of a Backup as his body cant take the beating of a starter as much as they used him in college but Brice has the talent to be comp to say Kamamra and Ingram pairing but using Love less..i can see it..
I wouldn't mind snagging him with our extra 4th

I don’t watch much college. Is he worth the pick..

It’s hard to judge him.

A few years ago, he was a first round pick, highly productive. You cannot really blame it on scheme because McCaffrey was elite in the same scheme. Injuries scare me as well.

In the 4th or 5th you cannot complain. He was productive and is a Stanford guy. He’s high character, smart, hard working and has a great athletic bloodline.

In the 3rd? That’s too rich for me. But I’d take him in the 4th or 5th

"The last play of an injury-plagued senior season proved to be the most devastating for Love. His last game ended with a torn ACL, later surgically repaired by Dr. James Andrews prior to the NFL Combine this spring. Love was limited in his participation, further crushing his already slipping draft stock."

If he just had his acl surgery I march no way im taking him even with a 4th..we got Dak in the 4th we cant waste that on an IR next year guy..now if he falls into 6th or 7th which is possible better players have for this very reason or UDFA go get him for future..

hes not playing this year so let move on we need a RB2 for this season

Love is hurt,so most likely Love is our 2nd round pick and we redshirt him until he is healthy.Just like Jaylon Smith & Bruce Carter....I'm kidding or am I?

I would say no. I watch tons of pac-12 football. He peaked his sophomore year(Heisman Finalist) and fell way off the last two years. Injuries and play style exposed him.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully we pass on him. I am assuming if we don’t resign Rod that we will use another later round pick for a attempt at a backup for Elliot. Bo didn’t make it, after hearing more about him than any other draft pick we got from last years draft.. Lol. We still have action Jackson I guess..

Want Zeke fresh for the Super Bowl. Is there someone who give us 10 carries a game and 50 yards?

He earned it but I don't like giving big 2nd contracts to running backs. Look at David Johnson. He was a JAG last season after getting paid.

David Johnson would be a monster in Dallas. You can’t be great in a crap hole. Just watch Le’Veon this year he won’t be near the back as he was in Pitt

Dak Prescott if he would take off instead of air out a dangerous throw at times. There’s plenty of opportunities to get 5 yards easy for him.
Outside of him tj yeldon is the perfect fit for us and do not have to use a pick on him. He can block, catch and run well. It’s a no brainer to me and he’s only 2-3 years older than the ones coming out

Yeldon was stuck behind Fournette.

He will not want to be stuck behind Zeke.

I'm certain he thinks he can become the #1 RB for a team without a clearly defined #1 already.

Yeldon don’t have a choice. He hasn’t had any attention. I know what he wants but at this point he’s gotta know he’s a backup

He has had offers but has yet to accept.
He’s only visited two teams lol he has no offers just visits. Rb isn’t a very good market If you are not extremely good. He will be very cheap once signed

Ton of offers are made and then rejected that don't get reported nationally.

He visited the bills and patriots and neither offered deal. Bills would be his opportunity to get the starting spot sooner than later. He’s not willing to take what they’re talking about bc it’s low. He will realize soon that he’s not going to get a spot for a starting role. This is where Dallas should pounce. He’d be one of the best backups in the league. We could still compete if zeke missed time.
