I like Sternberger in a different reality.

So imagine this.

The guy gets drafted early. We have Witten and a couple of other TEs that think they can play.

Tell me exactly how all of this is going to work out?

Witten being around for a year really makes this kind of pick awful.

And yes, that is on him for being selfish like he always has been.

What's wrong with Polite again? I noticed he dropped significantly.

Just about every time I do a mock draft with the simulator a pretty good TE/WR is there at 90. One of them drops. But it's just a stupid simulator.

If Witten wasnt royalty to the Cowboys he would be a roster bubble player

11) Despite reports to the contrary, I do not believe Dallas sees Miami defensive tackle George Willis III as fitting that "look.''

For all you "George" Willis III fans. Fisher says it's not happening.
Good. Don't want him.

In regards to Polite and Ferguson. DE's are position teams make major investments in. Much more than Safety. If a player that they view as a first round talent at DE is there at 58, dont be shocked when he is the pick.

Seattle just gave up a 1st and 2020 second to pay Frank Clarke more per year than Lawrence

That is nice, but he is.

He basically is coming in here and crowding out the whole works.

The trade off with him being the guy that can creep and get open on 3rd and 6 and present a target for Prescott to hit for five yards--well, not sure how I value that.

His “attitude” after his interviews and his combine performance which some dubbed the worst ever.

He brought up how he’s never watched himself on tape and how multiple teams just bashed him during the interview process. Came off badly.

My only addition is, that at his worst, his final season in 2017.... witten average depth of target was still over 7 yards.

Wasnt saying he wasnt royalty here. Or that he is a roster bubble player. Those awnsers are obvious.

But if Witten is the reason they feel they don't need to add talent at TE, then that is them being foolish.

And let's get real and honest for a second.

You don't think that these evaluators believe that Witten is still elite?

They will concoct every excuse because they signed off on it.

Honestly, he is in the way of this franchise figuring out how they need to address the talent at his position.

I really don't think his return has helped in any way.

Im not disputing that. Im sure they still do believe he can be a pro bowl level player. If that is correct then they are being foolish in evaluating the position

2017 witten would’ve been essentially a top 10 Te in 2018. Factoring catches, yards and TDS.

Obviously based on the “pitch count” they mention he shouldn’t come close to those numbers but if anything he’ll give us a legit red zone threat for those 2 games vs NYG and probably catch the game winner in one of them.

That all sounds good except the piece about RB at 58

Hearing Hills name a lot around us. Should we pencil him in at 90?

Ah, Fisher, would a proofread been that hard?

“12) Much has been made of defensive assistant Kris Richard’s "physical prototypes'' for cornerbacks. (Height and length.) Less ballyhooed is that Kris Richard has thoughts on other defensive positions, too, as does Will McClay -- and that in most respects, their prototypes are the same.
