Amari Cooper
From the moment of the trade during the 2018 season only two wide receivers had more yards than Amari Cooper's 896 yards.
T J. Hilton
Michael Thomas
Scoring 7 TD's he exceeded every wide receiver in the league except Julio Jones.
His RAC yardage was best in the league except for Juju Smith-Schuster
After his addition he elevated every category:
points per game
points per drive
3rd down % - raising this category to 1st
Yards per game
total yards per game
red zone trips
explosive plays
give-aways per game
The point of this thread is.
This board have been uncommonly quiet since Dallas doesn't have a first round pick. (That we know of)
However, the first round was selected in an unusual early draft day a half a season prior to today.
I suspect there will be some grousing about what Dallas finally does. It will be difficult selecting at the 58th pick as your first chance and come away after the draft is done and have a mind blowing draft.
You can't please all the people all of the time. In the case of this board it may be you can't please any of the people any of the time.
But the Cowboys elected to use their first for a guy that will be in the running for the best wide receiver in the game come the 2019 season.
Just keep that in mind when you look down the selections come Saturday evening and think, "If we only had a first round pick."
We did, and got the best player in the 2019 draft.
