I will reserve judgement as I have only watched his highlights. You obviously need to question a guy who did not get along with coaches and had it impact his playing time.

On the plus side, this team tends to ignore DT high in the draft. I think this team needs guys who can create pressure and better athletes on the line.

Will this guy be able to do this? Those will tell.

This draft certainly appears to be beauty in the eye of the beholder draft. Guys are going all over the place and team rankings appear totally different from each other. Makes a lot of opportunities for smart drafting teams.

3T is extremely important in Rod's defense. To see him go higher than safeties is telling.

Rob Rang around a week ago on some of his favorite non first round players:

DT: Trysten Hill, Central Florida, 6-3, 305, 5.04

Hill had repeated run-ins with the UCF staff over his career so his character requires vetting. Just based on tape, however, he ranks as one of the more underrated prospects in the entire country – at least from a media coverage perspective – with a combination of gap-splitting explosiveness and effort to warrant first round consideration. One of my favorite football metaphors – he plays like a bowling ball of butcher knives – comes to mind with Hill, just as they did years ago when watching similarly built and active interior pass rushers like Geno Atkins, Jurrell Casey and Mike Daniels before they became Pro Bowlers.

I hated the pick at first, but I'm starting to come around
