Shut up McClay!

I’ll have you know we’ve got quite a few fans unhappy with your 2nd round selection. I mean.....do you even look at Draftek 2000’s player rankings bruh?

I know. Unbelievable.

Next we'll find out he didn't even pick Mel Kiper's brain while Mel was at the salon getting a sweet blow-out, reminiscent of Steel Magnolias.

The least he could have done, really.

I'd like to know why the Trysten Hill pick was so pre-meditated and why they didn't have an open mind about drafting others with that pick..?

It did appear after the first round ended (based on the information that leaked out) that we were targeting Hill from that point forward. I don't know if that was simply based on who we expected to be there (and it turned out that way) or we liked Hill that much.

It's kind of like LVE last year. It was pretty clear going into the first day that he was our targeted pick. (I hope it turns out as well.) It seems like last year that there were a few players we might have considered instead if they had fell, and it might be the same with Hill.

LOL. What do you think he's going to say............

"Guys, gotta be honest.......... we ***** that thing up!"

The next GM who comes out and criticizes his own draft will be the first. I like McClay and think he's done a fine job here, especially having to deal with Jerry and his son, but this isn't even news.

We had a boring draft, not a flashy draft. Boring drafts usually show better results. It's the clueless fans that usually fail to see the angle.

The flashy part of this draft was Amari Cooper saving our season and taking us to the playoffs.

The boring part will now be the process of seeing where a couple of these later picks are an Anthony Brown steal or a Joey Ivie forgettable pick.

I agree with McClay's comment about Hill spending his 21st birthday with Marinelli.

I spent my 21st birthday getting knee-walking drunk. If I had come into a couple of million dollars a few days before that, I wouldn't be here today.

By biggest problem with this is that if you are that closed minded and that specific about who you want then you can't let it leak out

Both Hill and LVE were players others didn't want but that may not always be the case. Then someone can jump your pick

I think they told us. They consider it the most important position in their defensive scheme and he has all the qualities they look for to dominant there. If that's true, and I don't have an opinion whether it is true or not, how do you not take him?

People are tired of Health's limitations but who cares if we have the greatest safety of all time if the defensive scheme doesn't work because we don't have the right personnel to run it? Conversely if we are dominant up front and disrupt a lot of plays before they even get started, then the importance of the safety's roll is even further diminished.

I think that is what they are thinking.

Dallas got the guy they wanted. All the talk over the last few years of Dallas not valuing DT (evidently not true) the fact that even though Thornhill was still there should at least tell you Dallas got a guy they really wanted. That is not to say you have to agree with it but it at least tells me they got the guy they wanted. I posted ahead of the draft a list of 5 players that Cowboys had their eye on and Hill was one of them and evidently, he was one player they liked above others
