I can see both Hurns and Crawford being cut. We have too many receivers and too many DL after the draft to keep all of them on the roster. With the signings of Hyde, Covington and drafting of Hill and Jelks...Crawford becomes expendable. With the signing of Cobb and still having younger viable options in Brown and Wilson, Hurns becomes expendable in my eyes.

If we can save 11 million on those 2 players I would do it in a heartbeat. Or else we wasted draft picks for nothing.

I would much rather trade them..... get some picks back.... they can start for many teams

I like that you would trade them. But another team would have to actually want them lol
Their contracts are better for the new team..... no pro-rations to the cap

TCrawford is owed 2/15m with 0m gtd
Hurns is due 4m with 1m in roster bonuses ...... 0m gtd

A team could trade for them and then get a Comp pick at the end of their time

I don't think Hurns has any value outside Dallas.

We are loaded on the DL

DLaw..........MCollins...........AWoods............Quinn/RGregory*
Taco............THill.................Covington.........Armstrong
JJackson.....Wise.........................................JJelks

I totally agree here. You're finally on board!;)

But seriously, I think there's too many other guys to try to keep and too much potential upside, to say nothing of the obvious cap savings. It's reached the point of him being an absolute progress stopper and essentially "in the way" at this point.

Brice Butler got traded.............so anything can happen

Was Butler set to make $4 million coming off of a gruesome, late season injury?

I see no value whatsoever. He's another Cowboys charity case.

A lot of players, not a ton of talent.

Brice Butler was healthy and young and a relatively unknown but raw kid when traded a few years ago.

Since then teams have just let him walk or cut him.

That’s where Hurns is at in his career.

Potential in Hill and Taco, but this isn't enough for me to write off Crawford at this point.

It is for me.

Guess how many sacks Crawford has at RDE against starting tackles over the past two years? Rhymes with 'hero'.

He's nothing more than a grossly overpaid rotational lineman here. Those are vet minimum guys, not $10 million a year guys.
