I agree, but I believe Garrett is going for a more of an "orientation" type minicamp as opposed to a workout-based program. This is a trend that is catching on as more teams are opting for more classroom work than true field work.Still can't seem to find where Marc Orozco went. If there is minimal field work, there is no reason to bring in a kicker at this stage.
To me, it is a must once camp begins in earnest. It is criminal if Maher is uncontested at that point. If anything else, another camp leg to keep his leg fresh at the very least.
