Speaking in absolutes like that is a little insane. Daniele Hunter got 14.5 sacks for the Vikings last year and had 4.5 for his entire college career. Chris Jones got 15.5 for the Chiefs last year after 2.5 in college.

Making decisions with limited and imperfect information is what scouting is about. Missing on a pick is a result of making the wrong decision, but you don’t know the future and it’s only a bad decision if critical information was overlooked. Rapper ran fast, was durable in college, and flashed a quick step in the pros. I can see some of the reasons that decision was made, and won’t hold a 4th round bust against the staff given the recent results they’ve had.

Its an opinion. Which was right on the money in regards to Tapper. Then with the lack of ability, there was the big injury issue. He was doomed from the start.

So then we shouldn’t have drafted LVE! How about Joey Bosa’s final college year with 51 tackles and 5 sacks. But I’m sorry you know much more then the people that actually do that for a living, that has more resources to help evaluate to make their decisions and is actually one of the best.

It’s like the fry guy at McD’s giving financial advise.

I cant speak for other people. I can just tell you it was obvious to me. As for the Cowboys he was a 3rd round pick. So obviously they didn't think he was some great player. And at the time it was thought he was taken a few rounds too early. So clearly not many other people thought he was much either.

Do you know how stupid of a hot take this is? Many of the top pass rushers in the league right now didn’t have more than 7 sacks in their last college year.

who said anything about their last year? Did you make that up? Talk about a stupid comment. Don't be upset because you were one of the fools that kept saying how good Tapper would be. LOL

So you were proven wrong and now you backpedal to cover it up LOL. I can always count on you Roy. And btw i never said Tapper would be good I’m just pointing out how stupid it is to say somebody won’t be good in the NFL If they didn’t dominate their senior year with more than 7 sacks. You care to argue that point?

Now you’re blantantly lying. You won’t find a single post I ever made saying how great Tapper would be. You literally said 7 sacks in a senior year is average and if you don’t dominate in college you don’t have a chance in the pros. Wow so A loudmouth and a liar that’s sad.

LOL...…..Your the one that keeps changing what I said. So which is it?

find the quote where I said that you have to dominate your SENIOR year nonsense. If you cant then just shut up. LOL

So lets get back to Tapper shall we? Tapper did little in college to show he was a great pass rusher, he was over drafted in the 3rd round by the Cowboys, showed little talent when he was with us and was always hurt.

AND YOU WERE DEAD WRONG EVERY year telling me how much the pass rush was going to skyrocket with Tapper having a breakout year.

Just admit you were wrong, like you have been over and over again and lets move on.

I still am not getting your point .

Matt Johnson was a sparq-y safety they liked that just couldn't stay healthy. Never wasted a roster spot when it came to the 53 man roster . They had to of liked something that he could of brought to the team but his body wasn't built for the strain football brought. They gave him a few years to shake the injury bug but then realized he couldn't stay healthy and moved on .

Rico was drafted as a long term project. Of course they would give him some years before moving on. Year 1 he was on the PS. Year two he had a jaw/head injury and they ir him . Year 3 was his best shot to make some noise but couldn't .I doubt he's on the roster in 2019. He's cost the team peanuts and only has been on the 53 man roster for 1 year . We had an aarp te in Witten when he was drafted.

When Tapper was drafted we had questions at both ends spots. He was an athletic defensive end that was out of spot in college in a 3-4 scheme.
What's wrong with a team holding onto a de when at the time they were 0-2 for legit starting des?

I mean if anything your complaint should be about Gregory who can't stop smoking weed yet they keep him in some capacity.
Not some dude who had his career get derailed by a bizarre back injury and breaking his foot in practice.
Oh I wanted Gregory gone a long time ago!

I was dead wrong about him. Thought he would definitely be a rotational piece for our DL.

So you continue to lie. Wow you’re pathetic. You need help. I doubt anyone is as wrong constantly as you are. And yet you keep coming back blowing hot air every time like you forgot we all saw how wrong you were LOL. Tapper wasn’t a 3rd round pick so how about you at least know what you’re talking about before spewing more nonsense? LOL.

Forget the injuries, the guy never had the talent to play in the NFL. Not sure why ANYONE thought he had anything. I think he flew around the corner one game in the preseason on some 3rd stringer and people saw that and started having wet dreams. LOL

Why so raw bruh, lol.

Amazing because I was dead right about Tapper and you were dead wrong. Sad that you cant man up to your many wrong way predictions.

So now your changing the argument to what round the scrub Tapper was drafted? Does it matter? He sucked and it was predicted and now finally the argument is complete.

Why so raw bruh, lol.

2 or 3 years of arguing with posters telling them the guy wasn't diddly and being told I didn't know what I was talking about. Like some other poster is doing now on this same thread. LOL

And you always know who the guys are that argued with you. Because they come running all upset when you rub it in after the argument has been concluded.

If you cant dominate in college, you have no shot in the pros.

History is loaded with examples proving that view to be limited to guys who scout via Youtube highlight videos. Here's one such example.

So now were moving to QB's?

Its a general statement. And like all statements or rules, there are always exceptions.

Would it make you feel better if I said "generally" if you cant dominate in college then you wont dominate in the pro's?

Im talking about Tapper here. The guy was never great anywhere.

If I said that "the best players are going to garner the highest salaries." Are you going to tell me that I am wrong and throw up Brady again? LOL

Funny how Brady is always the guy that everyone uses to disprove what someone says. The guy is the best of all time.

Quite frankly, that just isn't true at all.

Everyone knows he was misused at OU.

His injuries prevented him from ever really getting started with his pro career.

He was a good prospect. Go back and read about him.

Glad you thought so. Where you right or wrong about that?
