Speaking in absolutes like that is a little insane. Daniele Hunter got 14.5 sacks for the Vikings last year and had 4.5 for his entire college career. Chris Jones got 15.5 for the Chiefs last year after 2.5 in college.
Making decisions with limited and imperfect information is what scouting is about. Missing on a pick is a result of making the wrong decision, but you don’t know the future and it’s only a bad decision if critical information was overlooked. Rapper ran fast, was durable in college, and flashed a quick step in the pros. I can see some of the reasons that decision was made, and won’t hold a 4th round bust against the staff given the recent results they’ve had.
Its an opinion. Which was right on the money in regards to Tapper. Then with the lack of ability, there was the big injury issue. He was doomed from the start.
