@Skullmiester sorry mate.

thanks pal.
It wasn't to be, we had the perfect start but couldn't capitalise. Losing with 6 seconds to play is tough but we go again in August.

The owners had a 2 year plan to get into the Championship therefore hopefully in 12 months time things will be different.

johnny williams seemed to give them a bit of a spark towards the end of the game. i remember sunderland losing penalities in '98 and a few times after that in critical games so I was hoping yall would avoid that agony again.

Yes Johnny Williams changed the game and really stretched us when he came on.

I was at the 1998 game as well, the game finished 4-4 after extra time and then we lost to Charlton 7-6 on2 penalties.

It's remembered as one of the great games at the old Wembley stadium and therefore I was lucky to be there but it was heartbreaking at the time.

That's 7 times I've been to Wembley now and seen Sunderland lose 7 times :(

I watched the first episode of the new Swamp Thing series and it was pretty good. Good effects and good creep factor, definitely shows promise.

Perhaps I should reconsider subscribing to DC Universe. Or maybe going the firestick route. :p

Titans was better than I expected it to be, thought it would be kinda .C.W.ish, like The Flash, Supergirl etc, but it was pretty good. Doom Patrol was a little goofy at times, but still entertaining and I liked the cast. The first episode of Swamp Thing kinda reminded me a little of John Carpenter's, "The Thing" and I loved that movie.

It is funny you mentioning the various DC/The CW series. The Flash had been the one series on that network I thought was the closest comic book adaptation of them all with above average acting. Even so I got away from watching it on a regular basis about 1 1/2 to 2 seasons ago. Some fan I turned out to be. :p:laugh:

I was a HUGE Doom Patrol comic book fan. Its DC Universe series, along with the revival of the old Cartoon Network Young Justice series (which was excellent), are my two main temptations for subscribing. However, I could be wrong about YJ. I remember reading the show was coming to DC Universe but have not followed up on whether it was actually added to the DCU lineup..

Anyone watch the Umbrella Academy? Is it any good? It has pretty good reviews.

The only reason I’m interested is because Gerard Way created it lmao.

Thanks to @Roadtrip635 , I have experienced a super-delayed DUH moment. I have read and known about The Doom Patrol since the 70's. The Incredibles is one of my favorite movies of all-time, which I first saw in 2004 (and have re-watched too many times). Here are two members, one from each team:

The Doom Patrol's Elasti-Girl

ElastiGirlConstruction.jpg

She probably looks a lot more modern in her DCU show. :p And

The Incredibles Elastigirl

I have never connected both characters having the same name until now. Super Delayed DUUUUH! Moment.

I only read a handful of the comics when I was younger, but she's a little different. She doesn't have quite the same control over her abilities and turns more blob-like, especially when stressed. She doesn't grow/shrink in size like what I remember from the comics and hasn't got the stretchy part down like The Incredibles (or Ralph in The Flash series). I kinda like she doesn't have that control yet and leads to some funny moments, but she's learning.....

Here's a quick vid on her from the new series

Yeah. That is NOT the Elasi-Girl that I remember but I do find the character conception variation interesting.

She's still going through her growing pains, but she shows flashes of her abilities and will eventually grow into them.......

I really like the casting for the show, especially like Alan Tudyk as Mr. Nobody, been a fan of his since his Firefly days.

I don't recognize the guy/character but here's the two images of him they flashed near the end of the teaser trailer:

Thanks. I had the bottom photo already but could not and still do not recognize the actor, although he does look familiar. At first I thought it was Kiefer Sutherland but this is a younger guy. I even checked out IMDB.com's cast list for any new actor for the 2019 season but did not connect the face with a name.

It cannot be random images embedded within the teaser in my opinion. He is someone important, I think, but who he is and what his role will mean for Jessica Jones is a mystery.

The actor is Jeremy Bobb and he plays the Marvel Comics character Gregory Salinger a.k.a. Foolkiller:
