Dak has a lot of work to do before hes an elite passer. If he improved even a little from last year I'll be happy. His mechanics, anticipation throws and the time he takes to make a decision were terrible last year.

This is year 4.. improvement is expected. If hes the same dude then that's who he is.
Maybe the first half of the season.....the second half he was the best QB in the NFC. Hopefully that continues going into this season.

I wonder why. Recent video of Dak and Zeke in the Rockies

I wonder why some people can't make two sentences match up.

This is one reason I don’t mind having him signed now for 30 million. It’s market value for this year. Next year it will be higher.

After 4 years it should slow down for him. He should be more accurate and in tune. Read defenses better and faster. He has been pretty good his first 3 years. Helped win the division 2 years and helped go to the playoffs. Only missed the playoffs in 2017 by a game. And Elliot was suspended for 6. Notice I said helped win the division and make the playoffs, it’s a team game...

Another year with these WR and a healthy O-Line. Hoping a star RB not suspended. Witten back and other TE. Cobb is a nice addition. Our Defense should be better than last year.

That should spell another division title and playoff appearance. SHOULD.. Lol.

If you let him play the last year of his contract and we make the SB or close to it and you will be paying him a lot more...

We're stacked at safety? No? Then it really doesn't matter how good Dak is if we're talking Super Bowl.

I certainly hope Dak looks even sharper. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does this season.

Dak needs to shine and Moore should give him a great chance to show out all year in the new offense.

If Dak is feeling more comfortable and he is sharper and more accurate then this team is a SB contender because we are stacked almost everywhere. One thing is certain. Once cooper got here Dak looked good. He will be better this year. Do you guys think his production will match the contract he is looking for? What types of numbers does he need to reach for the contract and for a good season.

Heck let's give it another 4 years Dak will be great sooner or later......

P.S. Look on the bright side by then we will have wasted another generation of Talented players waiting for Dak to be Franchise material....

I’ve said the same thing. Look at the 16 games starting with the ATL pummeling and he was awful. The other 32 he’s played in he was fantastic. People act like it shouldn't have effected him but its not just about the physical beating its about trust in the scheme and trust in his coaches not to get him killed.

It is his 4th year, things should start clicking even more.
He had a set back in 2017 that messed up his mechanics though he still needs some work with them. But that Atlanta game seemed it messed with his head, and he started getting that back last year. But Cooper sure did help a lot also.

But now as it all starts to come more natural, and with Kitna to help with his mechanics and other stuff. This is his year take the next step and prove he is that QB.

I know they will work out a deal, but I still rather he play and prove it.

I honestly don't anticipate, nor expect Dak to reach the rare QBs of "elite" status in the NFL. If he simply improves noticeably, corrects his flaws and the Cowboys continue to surround him with outstanding talent, significantly better results should follow. He's a willing student of the game with the level of desire and work ethic to get better. I think it's just a matter of the extent to which he'll be able to improve. I'll be intrigued to watch and see! ;)

I would like to see what fans thinking of an elite QB actually is.

Brady, heck yes. Rodgers, yes, but yet he only has one ring to show for it.
Wentz? heck no. Goff, showing very good signs, but is he really elite at this point?
Big Ben, yes.
But for Ryan, Stafford, whoever else, what have they done too. Run played in a SB, Goff played in a SB, both lost, but would one say they are elite at this point. Not really.

But many of our own fans won't give Dak the credit, because of their own "dislike" of him. Am I sold on Dak, no not entirely, but can't deny the 32-16 record, 1-2 in the playoffs, which he does not play defense, so don't count that Rams game against him.

I still rather see him this season before a huge contract. But the thing is, if he leads the team to another division title. But we lose in the playoffs, and not his doing, it does not make him a bad QB. Still better than many other teams situation out there.

Nice to see rational takes on Dak. Kudos to you and @Bullflop. I don't love him or hate him at this point but am willing to wait and see.
