So if you could choose 1 QB:

You'd rather have a going-into-his-4th-year Dak, over a going-into-his-4th-year Aikman? Because, you know...............availability.

Aikman who missed over 1/2 of a college season due to a broken ankle.
Aikman who missed 10 games over his first 3 years in the NFL.

Aikman played a full slate of 16 games 3 years out of 12 years with the Cowboys. I'd say that worked out pretty good for Dallas. Wouldn't you say?

So the choice is Aikman or Prescott?

Aikman all day.

Um ..... Aikman was actually healthy enough to play in the playoffs, and Dak has already played in 3 games.

How many playoff games has Wentz PLAYED IN his first 3 years?

It the same amount as the number of Eagles trolls who should be posting on a Cowboys fan site. Zero.

Did Aikman have

Stress fractures in his ribs
An obliterated ACL, LCL with a partially torn IT band + meniscus repair
Stress fracture in a vertebrae with back spasms

In his first 3 years in the league? Causing him to go on IR two out of 3 seasons? (An ankle is also one thing, Wentz broke a bone in his throwing wrist in college.)

No. No he did not. So, yeah I'd take Dak over Wentz all day, every day. Wentz will be lucky to not spontaneously combust into a pink mist this season.

How about this:

The 90's team, coaches, and Dak or the 2019 team, Garrett, and Aikman?

That is more of an even fight.

Or.......a going-into-his 4th year Jimmy Johnson

Or a going-into-his 9th year Jason Garrett

that's the easiest question to ever answer.

AIKMAN 5000000%

with Aikman, there was never any doubt, or question. you knew he was the "it".

If Wentz goes on to stay healthy and win three Superbowls he’s got a hell of a point. If he ends up benched for his backup for the postseason again, not so much.

At his point , if you were forced to make a franchise decision based on the first 3 years of both guys, I don't see how you don't go with Dak.

Wentz was unreal for those 10 games when he was healthy. But if you have to make a call, it has to be Dak.

Would you rather have Wentz's availability or Rivers' pullout game?

Harder to win 1 since the salary cap and FA. How many Jerry Jones won since the salary cap and FA?

I was actually going to give your question a thoughtful reply until I stumbled along this money.

First year of NFL free agency 1993

First year of NFL salary cap 1994

So yes Jerry was the 2nd Owner to win a Superbowl in the season that included both Cowboy Dynasty killing factors.

Lurie or Jerry after 1st 4 years of Ownership?
