Zeke & Cooper too then. They will also want top money.
Just tell him you sign or we start to tag you when we have too. Then make him run thirty times a game in the preseason to let him know you mean business. That should help him sign faster for less. Makes me sick seeing the greed of these qbs that hurt the finances of the team. As much as I don't care for Brady, he's smartest QB in the league, play for less, and get to the Superbowl more often. Then Ur worth millions and millions even after U retire due to Ur fame alone.
Not at all. That's why it was important to sign Dak before Wentz. Regardless of how we or anyone feels about Dak and Wentz...whoever signed last was getting the bigger deal. Then Mariota will get a bigger deal than them....then Goff will get one bigger than them. That's how this has all played out. Whoever signs last will get the biggest contract.
I don't think he gets more but I do think he gets at least what Wentz got. We just have to be realistic and take our emotions out of it. Sure I'd love for Dak to sign a 20 million dollar deal a year. My fandom in me wants that. But if I'm being realistic? Why should Dak take less than what Wentz has? His resume is better. He's healthier. He doesn't have his arm....he doesn't have Wentz's measurables.....that's not what you are paying for. You are paying for results. And the results work in Dak's favor.I just don’t think that’s true. They’re comparable players, but assuming they both sign in the same offseason, they’ll end up with comparable deals. And they would have, either way.
I also don’t think Wentz’ deal broke the bank, but that doesn’t mean it’s a sure thing Dak will get more. Or, if he does, it’ll be more than Dak would have got, anyway.
Were you upset when Romo got greedy and signed his second at-the-time franchise record contract extension in 2011, even though injuries were already starting to set in?
Why more? Wentz is trending up if he can stay healthy while Dak has trended down. His max contract should be $25.8 million average over the total life of the deal including this year’s salary so as to match Wentz’s deal. It basically works out to a 5 year $152.8 million extension putting him under contract for 6 years at $154.8 million. Boom, $25.8 a year average for 6 years. Give him $107 million in guarantees and bonuses to match the others and there you have the fair deal for each side. I don’t like it as it’s way too much for the inconsistency and unknown future of Dak but it’s either that or let him go which I know the team won’t do. The other option is to make him play this year for $2 million and franchise him. I like this option the best as it gives us another 2 years to see who he becomes but it may cost $40 million a year to sign him in two years.
Prescott's should be exactly what Carson got. Maybe 1 million more per year.
Eagles greatly overpaid in my opinion.
I think a lot are missing the fact Carson's extension does not go into effect for 2 more seasons 2021. He makes 4 million this year , the 5th year option which is 22 m. They can spread the cap hit as well while he is cheap. 2 years ago Derrek Carr broke the bank with 25m a year while most were under 20m. So when 2021 comes .... his contract won't really be bad at all. Most fans I know are good with it .... Im a little worried, but I dont work for the Eagles FO.
Wentz has a cap hit of 4M this year. He "makes" about 17M in real dollars this year.
Trust me when I say about 80% of all posters on the old officials boards were happy and claiming Romo deserved every penny and more from his second big (franchise record at the time) contract extension in 2011.yes. everybody knew it was a huge gamble.
Happy Birthday, Coach!!!! Hope you had a wonderful and blessed birthday... and many more to come!
CHEERS !!!!
he makes 4 but if you want to get technical, he is making 70 m this year because he got 66 for writing his name.
I think, or thought, that most thought that at the end of the 2019 season. Assuming he stayed healthy and got back to what he was in 2017. I think him getting it now was a bit of a suprise to a lot and a shock to some like myself. Personally, I only thought wentz would get more because he would sign after Dak. If I knew wentz would sign first, I would expect Dak to at least get equal.I expected—and expect—Wentz to get more, regardless. I think that’s what most people have expected all along.

As far as still expecting it, I can't in any scenario see Dak taking less than wentz.
