Do you realize that every fan who isn't 100 percent sold on Dak isn't a hater, don't you? I see wonderful things in Dak. His dedication and work ethic are second to none. He's great at avoiding the costly mistake and he's skilled at reading defenses. However, he's still weak at the outside throw and the deep ball. He needs to improve his accuracy there. That's an honest criticism, not hate. I very much do hope he improves in those areas. If he does, this team has a good chance at a championship with Dak. If he doesn't, the team's offense will be very limited. That's not being negative. That's not hating Dak. That's being honest. The team also cannot afford to pay him so much that they can't afford other important areas, especially the O-line and the running game. Dak needs that to be successful. These are real concerns, not areas of hate. Teams face tough choices, especially with the salary cap. That's a reality. The team needs to either make it work with Dak or let him go and find a way to get another highly capable quarterback. No one is a perfect soothsayer and knows for certain what will happen. There was a time when fans were uncertain if Morton or Staubach should take the reigns as quarterback. With perfect 20/20 hindsight, it seems obvious. At one point the 49ers had a very good quarterback in Steve DeBerg, but they had also just drafted this Joe Montana kid. Some people thought it would be foolish to not go with a proven QB like DeBerg. Our next Super Bowl QB may be someone we draft. Or it may be Dak. In any event, the team needs to be smart by not overpaying for Dak. The smart move MIGHT be to let him walk -- or we might be able to pay him enough to keep him while retaining enough under the cap to give him the talent around him that he needs to succeed.
You've got fans who've watched this game for many years realizing there are tough choices. That's not hating Dak.
