Not getting the Watson love.

I like Wason. But not sure I get the case for him over Prescott or Wentz. He plays with the best receiver in the league.

Outside of that, the top 9 I have no real qualms about.

I'd take Watson over Wentz and Dak right now. It's not like Wentz and Dak have played with slop in their tenures here either.

Watson had a really season going in 2017 (103 rating) before getting hurt. Then followed that up by performing at a high level (anotehr 103 rating) in 2018.

He strikes me as a guy like Wilson............ always kind of floating under the radar. Big year for Watson. If he can back up 2017 and 2018 with a really good 2019, he's a legit Top 10 QB IMO.

Pretty good list but I would not have Mahomes at the top until he's proven he can do that more than one year, I would have him at 3 behind Brady, Rodgers. I would also have Luck in at 4, then Brees, then Wilson. But, I do not work for CBS so I don't count.

And I would take all 10 of those QB's over Prescott; however, he has Watson beat on durability. But then he plays behind a better OL than Watson does.

Be interesting to take that list and examine it after this season.

Watson is over rated for sure.

Watson and Prescott are just average. Wentz could be much more than that, but he's already broken. Goff is limited in multiple ways. Trubisky, too.

The only youngish quarterbacks I see that could become elite are Mahomes, Mayfield, Garrapolo, and Allen. Murray will be an interesting watch because he may be the best athlete in the league.

Watson. Average. LOL.

Saying Allen has a better chance of being elite than Watson. Another LOL.

I agree with this assessment. Dak should be in the discussion at 10 and I'm not sure Watson has shown any more consistency than Dak has. But the top 9 are legit.

Interesting since Prescott was referred to as "Watson Lite" in college because Watson was the more accurate passer.

Goal is to be in the top 12 QB's since 12 teams make the playoffs but it's really good to be in the top 8. But wait a minute, it isn't the top 12 QB's that make the playoffs, it's the top 12 teams.

I mean, Watson has had one injury in the NFL. Hard to say he's not durable.

The OL point is wildly underrated for Watson. We saw what happened to Dak when the OL struggled, and Watson has never had a run game to lean on either. I don't think it's even close between the two.

If it were 10 NFL coaches, I might care about their opinions and rankings.

Click-bait 101
I loved this paragraph from the article:

Below, you'll find CBS Sports' list of the 10 best quarterbacks in the NFL right now. On that note, it's worth reiterating that the quarterbacks were ranked collectively by a group involving more than 10 writers and editors. All of us ranked our top 10 quarterbacks. Our individual ballots were then turned into one list using a point system. This is not my own personal list. This is the list for the entire NFL team here at CBS Sports. - Sean Wagner-McGough

Funny. Wagner-McGough writes the article, which is based on information involving individual ballots from specific people, but he does not state how many writers and editors exactly voted. Instead, he writes it is "...a group involving more than 10 writers and editors." Not eleven people. Or twenty. Just 'more than 10'. It reads like it is a small number of people who voted whom he does not know all their names.

Plus, he emphasizes it is not his personal list, which he includes a link for 'the list for the entire NFL team here at CBS Sports.' That is good information to provide readers. Of course, readers can click the link for the entire CBS Sports team that ranked the players and be re-directed to a list of all National Football League teams instead.
