Is Trading Zeke on the Table?

A question for Cowboys fans. This is a question not related to the off the field issues. Is Zeke worth a new contract with over 1500 carries since college?

Personally I would love to have Zeke the next couple years but I personally would not mind letting him after that. At that point he would be coming close to the end of his prime. So why not explore trading him now while he has value?

I think the first thing that would have to be defined would be "value".

I think it's definitely on the table if he tries holding out. Else, probably not.

I'd like to "Think" that optional contingency of the trading any player for a fistful of primo picks hovers in the shadowed thoughts of our General Manager
( Hershel Walker/Minnesota style)

SJ will pay him. 4 year deal and run him into the ground. Elliot knows this and will take a big paycheck.

So you would not trade Zeke near the end of his prime while he had value?
It would be short-sighted not to consider improving the team by any means, just poking a little fun at this never-seen-before entree that's on the table:)

On the low end is my guess. I think they(JJ/SJ) like him even with the off the field stuff. Although, IMO SJ is in no rush to give him a big contract early.

But contract wise, I think he'll be ok usage wise for a new deal. Been healthy, unlike someone like Demarco who couldn't stay healthy.

Who is gonna run the rock. Pollard. He hasn’t even taken a snap yet. Last season we drafted Bo and I thought o boy, we won’t need Elliot as much. And he never even made the team.
I would not trade Zeke this season. He is under contract for 2 more years.

Marco was often injured but Zeke has had a lot of carries. Over 1500 carries in college and the pros.

I think we will extend him and trade him before he is used up. If we give him 15 a year then in a few years it won’t be highest paid.
