I feel like some of us from the 80's knew him before anybody else. I watched Bosom Buddies every week. Loved that show. I loved his 80's comedies. Most weren't critically acclaimed but they were very enjoyable. One of my absolute favorite Tom Hanks comedies was The Burbs.

Joe Vs. The Volcano is one of my favorite movies! The humor is so dark and subtle at times. It's awesome!

I saw a documentary about him, and this movie looks pretty dead on. Fascinating documentary, BTW.
