Yo didn’t Murray have 1500+ yds rushing behind this OL? So your telling me part of Zeke success is the OL not the other way around.

What the hell happened to Zeke against Rams, especially on short yardage...

He got tackled. Tyron Smith and Ron Leary were a really strong combination. Doug free was not the greatest, but he always seemed to be good on the move upfield.

Watch the video Smith pushed his guy upfield, if Zeke would have followed to left he would have gotten 1st down or huge yards. He got stalled at line of scrimmage,if he wants-the top RB money he would have gotten that first down ( would be worth it) I know damn well Beast Mode would have gotten that 1st down.

Zeke was 5th in the league in yards after contact last season and first in 2016

Stupid thread

He can’t get those contact yard in the playoffs for 40 million? Zeke deserves to get paid but let’s get one thing straight if Cowboys ever want to win another SB the offense runs through Dak first

Thats what happens when the defense doesnt have to worry about the QB beating them. They can focus 100% on stopping the engine that drives this team.

Emmitt Smith had a few quiet postseason games as well. You can’t let one game define a player. He had 125+ in both of his other postseason games.

But yes...that game was disappointing but the same can be said about the entire team, especially our run defense.

This, this lone game everyone keeps pointing too for Zeke. Sorry but there is only 1 thing that keeps eating at me on this game and it is 273 rushing yards. So wonder Goff played like ---- in this game and still won.

You dont understand context do you?

The fact that he lead the league in yards after contact refutes your goofy point that hes a product of the OL.
Hmm...Let's see...

It's 4th & 1, late in the 4th quarter during the divisional playoff round game at the Rams. The play obviously goes to Zeke, handing him the ball, putting the game/playoffs on the line in his hands and letting him convert that 4th & 1 for a 1st down which would have allowed the Cowboys to keep possession and get a score to potentially tie the game or take the lead.

There were 2 ways Zeke could have ran with the ball:

1) Run between the C and LG to get that 1 yard needed for a 1st down. There was a hole there for a split second or two.

or

2) Dive over the pile between C and RG. There was a crevice that opened up above the falling RG Zack Martin. Emmitt used to dive over such falling piles and easily convert short yardage attempts for 1st downs. Even other RB Greats like Walter Payton, Marcus Allen, LaDainian Tomlinson and a few others were known for diving over short yardage piles in order to get a 1st down or a TD.

But not Zeke. Instead, he went straight into the pile, timidly, and got stuffed for a loss.

Zeke is good at hurdling DBs 1-on-1 in the open field, but he has yet to ever dive over a pile at the line of scrimmage to convert a short yardage gain needed for a 1st down or a TD. That's what separates the greats from good RBs, especially when the game/playoffs is on the line.

There are the game highlights. The Rams decided that stopping Zeke was the way to beat the Cowboys. Go to 1:19. The Cowboys were in shotgun and the rams still had 7 men on the line and one more in the box. You pull that crap against a good QB and you give up 40 or more points. The 1:19 was Dak's first touchdown. It was a simple 10 yard in and there was no help over the top.

Go to 2:47. The Rams literally had NINE men in the box on a regular first and 10. I can go on and on with more examples.

Its all game long. If you understand football, what happened in the Rams game was a passing game problem. They basically took the Colts' playbook from a few weeks before.

How Sir do you dare to question our Zeke?
Let me tell you the facts and only the Facts.
Zeke has accomplished all the below since 2016 with a QB that no Defense respects and are pretty much in single cov all game long as there playing 7-8 men in the box to stop .....wait for it ....wait for it.....ZEKE!!!!
Imagine what Zeke and our offense could do if defenses also feared our passing game?
Next please.... and bud Sell Crazy elsewhere!!!!

What have you done for me lately? It’s the last game we’ve had and the taste hasn’t washed away. Hard to demand money with that (plus the shenanigans) stuck on the mind
