Great thread.

Romo was a guy that played poorly in games but much better on the field, Prescott is the same way. I've always thought Cooper Rush was the opposite and wasn't as good against competition as he was in practice.

But if he and Mike White both develop, I would love to see one of them as the backup and the other traded for a draft pick. I doubt it happens, but this time of year you can always hope for stuff like that.

Queiro was interesting, I was curious if we see anything out of him this year. He basically is a *star player, hybrid LB/S that can potentially play as nickel depth on more passing downs as depth. Didn't have great speed coming out, but had a knack for the football. If he played ST well, you never know.

Pollard and Johnson not surprising to me. Guyton has been a bit. Guyton, Johnson, and Wilson going to put up a battle at WR. Great to see.

Similarly along DL. Jackson has got heavy hands naturally, and seems to be practicing well, that's a nice attribute for a rook. Rod is big on hands. I'm very curious about Wise. I liked him a lot coming out, if he does well and we think we can build his lower body, maybe.

CB battle is going to be good. I knew it would be. Olumba wasn't a slouch. Westry is obviously a longshot but I'm curious if we see him take some snaps at SS. Obviously, he's not expected to play there much immediately, but in the future he could be that mold that Richard's has liked there. If he showed some potential, he could be a developmental DB, reps at CB and SS, shows a knack for ST, may be worth keeping on the PS for the future.

I remember Jackson looking like a real RB last year. He's a pet cat of mine, but I just don't see him getting a chance at RB here.

Pollard and Olawale both give us deep mismatches. Too fast for the LBs likely to cover them if they split out.

That's why Dak's problem with deep balls is so crushing. We've got the speed to hurt defenses if they stack the box, but Dak has to hit them. In the recent video, he's playing against air, with Pollard 5 yards behind Jaylon, and Dak overthrows him by 5. Sad.
C' Mon man Pollard is a ROOKIE. You think chemistry is a cream a QB rubs on his arm?

Poor choice as an example for a poor analogy of something that doesn't exist.

I can't disagree with anything you wrote. Everything you seen is what I have seen on tape.

Quiero was a safety in college and has some speed. I think he makes the team this year, he was a turnover machine and I hope we start seeing it.

I wanted to add Xavier Woods, he looks really good. Baited Dak and picked him off for pick 6.

Great write up by the way
On tape.........

RE: Cooper Rush I saw a dallascowboys.com you tube video basically saying Rush has been doing really well in TC, but I forgot to post about it.

I hope they stream the scrimmage tomorrow.

You think throwing a football requires a magic cream uniquely formulated for each receiver?

Pollard ran straight downfield. There's no subtle interpretation of where he might make a cut involved. It's velocity times time equals distance.

Dak overthrew a guy who runs about a 4.4 flat forty by 5 yards, when he had 5 yards on the defender. Against air.

A college QB would be embarrassed by that throw.

i think his take is more "if you like my work, enjoy, if not, dont read it"

X is 50 50 with me, but he puts the work in and i thihk this is something he really enjoys, why not give him a platform since posters enjoy it.

Post your own analysis if you disagree. Otherwise, why harass someone trying to contribute something to the board?

Where is the disclaimer that says these analyses, observations of players will matter worth a bucket of sweat a week before the season's start.
