I get it. You want something to ***** about. I still fail to see what you parroting that media narrative has to do with how this team will perform.

I am not saying it has anything to do with how the team will perform in 2019.

But it shows that more often than not, this franchise has failed more than most franchises in the last two decades.

So one shouldn’t be surprised that some fans aren’t willing to buy in simply because, “hey, COWBOYZ!”

I guess that’s my question. What is this franchise doing wrong now?

We don’t know if they are doing anything wrong now. But history shows that it’s probably not wise to just assume it’s all figured out now.

Frankly I think they are making a mistake with their head coach but that’s another discussion for another thread.

How is it a stretch?

In the last twenty years there have been 7 teams out of 32 that have failed to make a conference champ game - Cowboys, Commanders, Lions, Browns, Bengals, Dolphins, Bills. In other words, 25 teams have made a conference champ game at least once in the last two decades and the Cowboys are not one of those team. They rank in the bottom quarter of the league there.

They have three playoff wins in twenty years, which again is near the bottom of the league over that period.

After six padded practices, Dak Prescott has completed 84 of 124 passes with four interceptions in team and seven on seven drills. In the most extensive action of camp yet, Prescott completed 21 of 32 throes and had a red-zone pass picked off by Xavier Woods. He threw two touchdown passes and had the first-team in position for a game-winning kick but Brett Maher hooked a 32-yarder. “I’ve definitely gotten better,” Prescott said of his camp. “I’ve had a couple of turnovers but it’s simply trying throws. I wanted to make throws, try them, the whole risk vs. reward. I’m getting better. At the end of the day, that’s what I’m trying to do. I’ve had some good days, some better days and not so good days but that’s part of it. This defense is good. They’re going to do that. They’re going to frustrate me. They’re going to frustrate a bunch of quarterbacks that we play throughout the season. It’s just part of it.”

Whew...I feel so much better knowing he's just experimenting with down the field throws in practice.

Get ready for another dink and dak season.

Don’t have time to read all 19 pages. Sounds pretty poor offensive display with exactly the same problems in the red zone again!

Zeke’s agent is ready to cash in. Without Zeke this team won’t go anywhere.

Well history is full of Super Bowls. Their recent history says otherwise.

And yeah they may be screwing up with Garrett. But regardless of how we feel about him we know that this team plays hard for him and when healthy they more than likely make the post season more times than not. I'm not telling anyone here how to be a fan but it does seem a bit extreme to make much out of a scrimmage game. That's my only stance.

Injury schmenjuries... Pop always coaches his teams to the playoffs, even if just to the first round.

How did he tank then exactly? It is obvious that he did not injure his own players. Your claim your proof. You do no more than assertions.

The fact the defense is outpacing the offense has to be more than a small concern.

Then again, no Elliott. But it seems when the defense decides it wants to put the clamps on, they can.

I guess that notion that Moore brings is not exactly confounding anyone.
Defense is always ahead of the offense in the beginning. Offense requires timing. Defense is based on reacting.

If you have that sucking AT&T DTV it will not be on KXTA 21, as it and CBS 11 are not being shown from the contract dispute.
Which also means no local broadcast of the PS games until it is settled.

I am about to cancel that crap service anyway and go to spectrum.
So let me get this straight, if I cancel Att/dtv, worse case I can watch the games as soon as they finish on NFL network? Cause after 20+ years of Sunday ticket....I'm ready to blow.them off

Don't forget that Maher missed a gimme 32 yarder.

Not sure Christian Covington has secured a spot.

I started out with Smith, LVE, Lee, Thomas, March-Lillard and Covington as my six. The last two are iffy, so Gifford could steal a spot.

That was my thinking as well. I don't think Covington has done anything to secure his roster spot. In fact, he is behind right now since he was injured during the first conditioning tests. I also don't remember him playing much at all before now.

It was basically lots of pithy repartee about the nature of success and fandom, interspersed with the occasional bout of "Dak sucks", "no He doesn't" banter and "Brian/Dave/Stephen/Jerry sucks" badinage.
The play got the occasional mention and apparently Xavier Woods looks great.

Again that’s not 100 percent true. Robinson’s back went out in preseason. He came back when the team was 3-15. They went 3-3 in the games he played in and didn’t improve a bit. In fact one of the games they won was against a 21-3 Rockets team. If they were tanking Robinson would never have come back. The truth is he broke his foot after that 6 game stretch. Sean Elliott missed 39 games that year. The team was led by a geriatric Dominque Wilkins Vernon Maxwell Vinny Del Negro and Avery Johnson. They were lucky to win the 20 games they did
You obviously don’t know much about Pop. He doesn’t tank. It’s not in his DNA.
