So let me get this straight, if I cancel Att/dtv, worse case I can watch the games as soon as they finish on NFL network? Cause after 20+ years of Sunday ticket....I'm ready to blow.them off

I am not sure I understand the entire conversation. But I canceled DTV and just bought game pass.

You can't watch the games live.

I like that there are no commercials and I can sit down and watch a game whenever I want. It is normally cowboys on Mon, Pats on Tues, Packers on Wed, Pitt on Thursday, KC on Friday, and Rams on Sat.

If you have that sucking AT&T DTV it will not be on KXTA 21, as it and CBS 11 are not being shown from the contract dispute.
Which also means no local broadcast of the PS games until it is settled.

I am about to cancel that crap service anyway and go to spectrum.

I hope that you called Direct and b'd. They will immediately give you $50 off of your next bill. I'll keep calling once per week until they put my local station back on the air. My Nexstar channel is ABC so I'm, currently, not missing out on much sports, but I'll be po'd if it's not on come the winter months. Living in PA, I need as many options as possible! :D

Ive thought about this but I am a DVR addict and record a ton of other shows including games of all kinds in case I miss them or to get behind enough to fast forward through commercials and other garbage like Half time.. so if I cancel all major cable that provide dvrs and many options for cable channels then what on the DVR? Im 49 im not fan of watching things on a computer or phone, smart tvs do not provide enough REAL apps or ways to DVR to just flat out cut the cord yet unless im missing something..

I want plan because im so irritated at losing 10,11, NFLN, and I believe Fox Sports SW disappeared along with some others..its nearly the final straw..they keep getting billing wrong, raisng prices and now cutting channels without and consequence..i want out..

Now on the scrimmage

Im going to say this with flexibility it is just practice but from what ive seen, read, and heard during and after the TC so far, "Dak Prescott is 2016 Dak Prescott, he doesnt look better or worse, I believe what weve seen from him as an on field player is what we have." Hes still looks like check down Charlie, holds the ball too long, and can be inaccurate.. Again, I realize Zeke and Aamri weren't there and the team will solidify once they all get back and once KM offense becomes more normal, but Dak simply is what you see is you have..

They were talking with him about his constant low rankings and recently left out of top 100 and ranked outside of 15 other QBs , why yes hes not been top10 maybe you argue he falls into 10-16 somewhere but lets just be realistic, hes good solid young QB and otuside of reading defenses and some other minor changes, Dak is who he was as rookie until now, hard to see anything pointing to him turning into a HOF QB, we can win with the guy.i like him, but the FO needs to wake up, stop with the 32-16 banter to his greatness. IMO wins and losses are team stats, you can lose games on a bad kick, win games on great kick or one bad drop or spectacular catch, a finger out of bounds on catch, a bad call by the refs one way or the other is the slim line between wining or losing.

So you have to hang stats on every postion, use the eye test, Daks ranked outside the top 10 and thats who he is, nearly every year Romo was ranked inside the top 10 and his great years inside the top 5 in stats and career wise one of the best ever as DC QB, it shows , stats dont lie, you own your production as player at you position, the rest are on the team and coaches ie wins vs losses..Dak does play better in crunch time, hes great leader, I like him but hes is NOT worth the 30+$ hes demanding and the FO would be stupid to pay it..I want to keep them all but saying the market is setting prices I say not for everyone , you get paid by where you rank vs similar players in the zip code you are in PRODUCTION..

thats why Zeke at this points the only one who has earned the top market money regardless of his postion and off field stuff, the other better get it together if they are demanding top5 money..The hate for Zeke in here is laughable given his production , dnt pay him we can win without him blah blah blah..what I saw of that scrimmage is dudes on the sidelines and others lie Dak looks pretty much like what weve seen for years/.. why check down or throw short stuff in practice and scrimmages, you should be working on the other stuff because from what I saw, they need it..lol

Well history is full of Super Bowls. Their recent history says otherwise.

And yeah they may be screwing up with Garrett. But regardless of how we feel about him we know that this team plays hard for him and when healthy they more than likely make the post season more times than not. I'm not telling anyone here how to be a fan but it does seem a bit extreme to make much out of a scrimmage game. That's my only stance.

Recent? We are talking about 20 years here. Not 4.

Sometimes I wonder if people have just blocked out mentally how inept we've been as a franchise for much of the last two decades. Our "run" over that period is comparable to what we've seen from dregs like the Dolphins and Bengals and not even within spitting distance of teams like the Steelers and Packers and even the Eagles.

I blew off Sunday Ticket after almost 20 years. Did not have it for 3 years, then they gave it to me free fro 2 years, but refused to pay for it last year. If I get the chance to get rid of them all together, I will. Phone, internet and DTV. If they give me $65 a month off my bill again, or ST free, I may consider staying. But my phone is for sure getting switched to a different carrier, I can cut my bill in half.

They gave me NFL ST free for 2 years, last year they took off $65 a month. That ends the end of August, so will be calling them soon. But I have no issues going to Spectrum if need be.
I get all the Cowboys games, but I do like the idea of watching other games. too.

that's the problem they switched customer service to the Philippines and they give you nothing. you want to quit they say go ahead and quit and there's no more retention calls as far as I know.
so if I can't get anything out of them I'm not staying. Plus I have no Fox network at all and I'm missing a couple under Independence that they're fighting with
Garbage

I did not know they switched the customer service. All I know is they had the worst customer service I ever dealt with prior to this.

That was my thinking as well. I don't think Covington has done anything to secure his roster spot. In fact, he is behind right now since he was injured during the first conditioning tests. I also don't remember him playing much at all before now.

It could be that media simply hasn't focused on him since the entire defense seems to be doing well. However, even March-Lillard has been pointed out for making plays, which tells me that if Covington had done something to stand out, we probably would have read about it.

I don't think he's even practiced that much TO have stood out. But I've always considered him a size-speed-traits project anyway, and if Gifford proves to be more than that, I can easily see him winning the spot over Covington.

They should sign Matt Bryant before someone else does.

I agree. I know he's 44, but 20 of 21 on FGs last year shows he hasn't lost it, while Maher's 80.6 percent is in line with his career.

That may be true. I haven't seen reports of him being held out of practice, but most of the reports I've seen have only mentioned the big names missing.

Yeah, Bryant is clearly not a long-term answer, but he could probably get you through the season. And I don't think Maher presents a potential long-term answer either. Just a guy that was here when Dan Bailey spit the bit and lost it.

I know he missed some time at the beginning. I think he pulled a hamstring running a conditioning drill. Some he's likely just working back into practice.

Here it is:

https://www.dallascowboys.com/news/camp-updates-2019

He was just cleared to practice on July 29th.
