MMQB's Breer nugget on the Cowboys' big three contracts

I saw that too. Players are getting smart, or getting smarter agents.

This has been the case for years. You see it every year when there are multiple top players at a position negotiating for a new deal

People really have to question the smarts of an agent that talks a player into sitting out with 2 more years left on an existing contract, running the risk of losing an accrued year, not getting paid but ring up fines that could total half of what he will make this season. Actually people need to questionthe smarts of both the agent and the player who agrees to do it.

IMO Cooper doesn't deserve elite WR money , if he thinks he does , we should trade him .

TRY TO GET A FIRST RD DRAFT PICK , MAYBE THERE IS A LUNATIC GM OUT THERE !

Wouldn't know it around here. lol

Well, I think we'd feel better if a deal got done. It's not just Cooper, Zeke and Dak. Remember we have La'El Collins, Byron Jones, Maliek Collins, etc. Jaylon Smith has two years left. Get somebody done. Show us that you'll open the checkbook.

You just have to wonder what is taking so long? Nothing is going to get done once the season starts.

Really? I think you've gotta question your own assumptions.

Does the team really not want to have Zeke playing for them for the next two years?

You'd have to be golden era Al Davis crazy/stubborn to do that.

Zeke and his agent have a ton of leverage here. Get that into your head.

No, it was a scrimmage, nothing more.

I watched it late last night (recorded it; too much going on) and saw some great things from the defense (secondary) and a few good things from the offense. I can't wait for the first pre-season game!

From an offensive standpoint...I don't think we are going to see any of the wrinkles on offseason in preseason games. Give opposing def coordinators nothing to see in prep for first couple weeks.

I'd prefer they just lock all 3 up so we can move forward with the season.

There's an article on NFL today that states the ONLY thing Elliott has is sitting out but they even question that because he has 2 years left on his contract. Yes the Cowboys would rather Elliott be playing but that doesn't mean that they should just forget they have him under contract for TWO MORE SEASONS and just forget that he can't stay out of trouble during the off seasons and the next time he'll be gone for 1-0 games or an entire season. It might be different if he just did it his rookie season and then kept his nose clean from then on but he hasn't. He's had troubles EVERY off season and still acts like a high school teenager and not a grown adult man.

Jerry Jones.. oh, wait? Seriously, I don't think he is a lunatic but, if Zeke was playing for another team, I daresay JJ would be jostling for a trade.
