I’m a dak supporter but who the hell else is going to pay him that kinda money.

I think we have the most complete team we’ve had in a while. I think it wouldn’t be far fetched to expect a deep playoff run this year.Injuries are always a factor. But if he can’t get it done with this roster how can he ask to be the top paid quarterback?

I definitely think he can be great. But if he wants mvp/super bowl winning qb money he’s gonna have to prove it.

Ben and Skin on The Fan, which carries the Cowboys games, said their sources say Dak's agency is demanding he be the highest-paid player in the NFL.

They are asking for more than $36 million per year.

No thanks. Let him play for $900K this year, and if proves himself, you just saved$35 million you can scatter over the next years when you pay him $40 million pretty year.

Or, if he falls flat, you saved your franchise's cap future.

Dak and Zeke are both nuts in their own special way. Zeke can never be highest paid based on past behavior patterns and Dak can never be highest paid QB because he lacks the talent to warrant it.

4-3 without Zeke, like it or not.

Clearly, you don’t like it. THAT I love.

“In the other 6 games” LOLLLLL why wouldn’t you include all 7 games?

Because Dak kicked major butt in game #7?
:lmao2:
I counted the six games that weren't meaningless.

You're getting destroyed here.

As far as Dak becoming the recipient of yet untold riches, let's consider that the FO is laying back and observing what transpires with him in the days and weeks to come. Whatever is to come, I suspect they're intent upon determining the extent of their generosity accordingly. Is it possible they have such a plan in mind? If so, seems that'd be wise. In fact, I'm honestly hoping this is what's in store. Could the FO possibly be that smart? We'll see. :)

I'm expecting Stephen to do his best to limit Dak and his agent to no more than $30 million over four years.
It's probably within the bounds of reason to think it'll be a real slugfest to make that come to fruition. :omg:

Selling Crazy again lol.....We beat twice the hopeless Giants and Skins and Raider all NON-PLAYOFF teams.
Wanna find out what we did without Zeke against playoff teams? We got are @utts kicked by the Bolts,Eagles,Falcons and let me tell you our offense in those 6 games was record setting as we went for the 1st time in our history 15 str8 Q of offense without 1 TD.
Anything else Dak-Zoid?

I’m not trying to refute your argument . I’m offering my concerns.

Would Dak be as effective on a team without all of this supporting cast . That’s the bigger question.

He’s benefitting from being on a playoff ready team. Put him on the Lions and probably not a .500 team.
It just proves the point, teams win football. Talent makes Talent better. How people not get this

Guy can't crack top 100 how in god's name can he want to be highest paid player, just can't believe this.
Yeah you beat me to it...lol. If he becomes the highest paid player without being in the top 100, then I want his agent to negotiate my work contract!

They said the agents will not come off the "highest paid player" demand, so the negotiations are stalled. They also said Zeke is much closer to being signed than Dak or Cooper.
Dak agents need to be careful. The Jones family wants to pay Dak but let's not get crazy. I will say this, he signed with these agents to break the bank. Dak has the Cowboys by the balls.

Why isn't he holding out if he's got so much gusto as they say?
Cause only proven TALENT can have the hold out option......or shoulder option....whtever in the end key word here is TALENT!

if he won't come down off that demand, i'd just play him out and franchise him like the skins did to cousins. and i'm one who said that i'm totally against that method because i want continuity with my qb position and to save the franchise tag. but in no way am i ready to make him close to the highest paid. this has to be a 2 way street for this to work. i thought the previous reports of wanting 34m aav were a touch high but not crazy considering if you average out with his current deal, the aav over the next 5 would have been like 27.6 (4@34m + 2m from this year).

If his agents won't move off that demand, tag him when the time comes and you'll pay him to be the highest paid if he earns it during that time.
