Rumor or not, players ask high and teams offer low.

Michael Thomas asked for 22mil, got 19.2mil(IIRC) AAV.

Ben and Skin on The Fan, which carries the Cowboys games, said their sources say Dak's agency is demanding he be the highest-paid player in the NFL.

They are asking for more than $36 million per year.

No thanks. Let him play for $900K this year, and if proves himself, you just saved$35 million you can scatter over the next years when you pay him $40 million pretty year.

Or, if he falls flat, you saved your franchise's cap future.

Misleading title as at the most it’s Dak’s agent that wants Dak to be the highest paid QB. You should know better but obviously you just like to continue your trolling ways.

So Dak's agent went rogue and is going against Dak's wishes.

Not one of us knows what the agents representing Dak, Zeke and Cooper are asking. For that matter, the talking heads on radio and TV don't know either. We have an idea what Zeke was offered based on Stevie's comments, but even that could have been BS.

Why isn't he holding out if he's got so much gusto as they say?
Cause only proven TALENT can have the hold out option......or shoulder option....whtever in the end key word here is TALENT!
Pappydog, no matter how much you complain, Dak is getting 30+. I think they should offer him a Kirk Cousins contract. Short on years with let's say 70 million guaranteed and see if he is willing to bet on himself.

good luck Dak hope the next team you serves you well.. Dak has the biggest Ego ever for a 4th round QB who has done nothing but pout up average numbers from his position..

THATS INSANE AND IF TRUE IM READY TO MOVE ON FROM HIM AND HOPE THE FO IS AS WELL.. he isnt worth adime over 28 FACT..let me know when he ranks top 10 let alone top 5 in this league not the bs about his 32-16 record which isnt HIS its TEAM record, not his..his position rankings has been 10-16 numbers alone and hes not Tom Brady who only asks for fair amount..if he thinks another team will pay him that than trade him..i FT him next year

Selling Crazy again lol.....We beat twice the hopeless Giants and Skins and Raider all NON-PLAYOFF teams.
Wanna find out what we did without Zeke against playoff teams? We got are @utts kicked by the Bolts,Eagles,Falcons and let me tell you our offense in those 6 games was record setting as we went for the 1st time in our history 15 str8 Q of offense without 1 TD.
Anything else Dak-Zoid?

Well Zeke wants to be highest paid RB, so same standards.
REally? Zeke is TOP 2 or three at worst in production , hes the cog that makes the offense go, he has every right given short careers and the mileage they put oN their bodys to want to be paid he sis the best, Dak IS SO FAR FROM BEST, hes top 10-15 in his posItion he gets paid like it.. Jeez if you guys are to blind to see the difference , its very sad..truly.. Zeke arguably the best RB in the league,

Dak not even in the conversation anywhere, not even here, at BEST not top 5, not top 10, 10-15 WAKE UP DAK, YOUR EGO IS GETTING THE BEST OF YOU..

reality of it is that Dak wanting to be highest paid is ridiculous but usually negotiations start that way, you go high, they go low and meet in the middle somewhere. Dak is certainly not in the Rodgers, Brady, Brees level. Can he get there? maybe, this is his 4th year and he has time, but at this point he is not in the upper echelon..... unfortunately the market has moved, when Cousins gets 28 mill a year, then the market for starting QBs, good starting QBs is 30-32. Dak sees himself better than that, of course. so expecting to give him 15 or 20 as some suggest is not going to happen..... at this point Dak needs a lot of strong support and thus we can't handicap the Cap because then there is no Amari, no Zeke, no OL and no strong defense to help him out. given those resources, he has the mentality to minimize his mistakes and lean on his teammates and get the team wins. the question is can he be a 4000 yard, 4500 yard passer? to get the type of money he wants, he has to show he can be that.....I think we can just sit back. and see how it plays out. if he raises his game then paying a couple of extra mill per year may be worth it...if he is middle of the pack, given there aren't many other options, then you can franchise him and in essence its the same money you were going to pay him anyway...….there is no urgency in resigning Dak. there is urgency in resigning Zeke and Cooper and Smith

So it’s ok for Dak’s agents to reach for the stars contract wise but the same rules don’t apply to Zeke and his agents????!

The hypocrisy of some people here is amazing.
