Zeke has some leverage but it is minimal compared to what Jerry has
The only leverage he has is withholding his services but he is penalized financially and by contract language for doing so.
RB is the only position where being a year older actively counts against you even under 30 years of age.
If Zeke is really interested in getting his 8 games in then he has basically zero leverage.
DAL was 3-5 last year 8 games in and won the divsion. They start versus easy teams and have zero reason to panic.
I've have just never understood his agent's plan.
The team drafted two RB rookies that they planned to use ALL PRE-SEASON.
Given the early schedule they have no reason to ramp up and come out guns blazing week 1.

Someone walk me through the agent's logic here.

End of day it feels extremely likely Zeke gets to spend TC in Cabo and that's all that happens from this.
He signs deal that is bascailly already been offered OR he comes in and says fine I will table contract talks and put up but it will cost you long-term.
If he's backed himself into new deal or no play mode then he has even less leverage because the team knows that big money he is offering is killing him to not have.
I mean if your job gives you a 3% raise it might make you mad but you aren't bloody likely turning it down and refusing to go to work.
More than likely you take the money and do your job but start looking around for better offers and if none pop up the boss was right.

 Going into the season with unproven rookies who haven't even played in one game. Yep SB. Lots of players are stars in camp and then when the season starts it's what ever happened to that guy? I remember when we drafted Switzer. He was supposed to so all these great things. Don't know where he is now.

A unproven RB is not a bad thing.

RB is the easiest position in football to replace and it's done with Rookies all of the time because it's almost purely a position that produces around the amount of volume a player gets.

There are certain positions where having a rookie can hurt you and a rookie runningback is at the very bottom of that list. It's the easiest transition to make.

Switzer was a WR and he played for Pittsburgh last year and was pretty good. WR is a difficult transition from college to pro.

Lmao ...
But I consistently read here (from very few) , that zeke would be here .

"Nothing will happen , because Zeke will be here." , i read time and again .
"Zeke deserves everything "... I read.

Its time to think about trading Zeke .
You forgot that based on the rumors “No way Zeke will hold out and not show up for camp”.

which after the not showing up for the plane trip with his teammates “Zeke will be at the start of training camp, he won’t miss any practice”.

followed by “he’ll be there by Aug 6th”.

Many of the Zeke lovers and excuse makers were wrong, wrong and wrong. I hope they’re wrong again about him getting a contract but I even find that doubtful.

Is he going to be able to block? Is he going to be able to catch balls out of the backfield? Is he going to be able to bust one wide open? Is he going to be an every down back because that's what this offense needs?

When Zeke never got on Twitter to dispel the rumors of a hold out I knew with almost full certainty he wasn't coming to camp.

There is also another rumor floating that Erick Dickerson started by saying that Stephen and Jerry knew about this holdout all the way back in January and Dickerson knows this because he has the same agent as Zeke.

Not sure why you think DAL wouldn't add a proven vet back if Zeke doesn't appear eventually.
SB teams have had some really bad backfields fairly often the past 10 years.

PHI picked up Ajani 2 years ago during the season(he happens to be from Frisco and available), and I couldn't tell you the myriad of backs the Pats have cycles through.
RB aren't hard to find; which is why they get cheated financially.

We all know you weren't saying that in 2016 when Zeke was a rookie.

Then why didn't they prepare for it? Another great blunder.

We'll find out but if he's any good at all and gets a heavy workload he'll produce. They all do unless they are just terrible.

All things about Pollard are positive right now. We'll start finding out more Saturday.

i love zeke, we need zeke on this team to win a SB. But I cant stand drama and thats pretty much what its been like since he got here. It was like this with TO, although different kind of drama. I pulled for TO, but i was glad he was gone. Im reaching that point with zeke. crap or get off the pot dude.

You got that right because he was an elite running back. I actually wanted them to get a QB but failing that the RB was the best bet.

He might have been winning back then, but now, he's...

LOSING!!!!!

Wish I could make a LOSING!!!!! meme of Zeke? This gives me an idea...

Food for thought:

I remember when Tiki Barber retired. He left and bashed Eli for his demeanor.
The Giants won the Super Bowl the following year.

Not the same circumstances, I know, but teams have done well without a star RB.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Weber emerge and Pollard has shown some flashes.
Look for Dallas to go with the two-back system like the Saints. Or, Zeke shows up... lol.
