50th year since that horrendous crime.

IMO it was a "watershed" moment when it came to crime in this country.

Prior to that a certain amount of innocence still existed, but not after August 8th of '69.

Man, I'd caught a Manson family revisited on night line just last night( I think as my being correct,as I was flipping thru channels & only picked up on about the last third of it,being about half asleep ,it perked me up, as I found it professionally well produced & somewhat riveting, regretting my not catching it from the start)

Charles Manson was an utterly complete whack job, as when his "crew" returned back from the Tate message murders,ol' Chaz ( who'd stayed under his rock while they did his bidding)
apparently flipped his wig, over his killing crews ineptitude in leaving a proper message to the world (WTH)
So,ol' Chaz was gonna show 'em how it properly done,with the completely whimsical fancy random stopping by at a house ,where the Labianca's
( ms) lived.

Did that Folger's coffee heiress & her male friend make good their escape from the Tate scene, as it the program didn't say, anybody know? It just said they broke out a side ( window or door idr) ,then later on it said two from the manson crew left the house in pursuit of them

Manson wasn't that much of a nut.

He really wasn't.

What Charles Manson was... was a tremendous manipulator.

He was crazy like a fox.

Over the last several years an alternate story to the "Race War" card played by prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi during the trial (in addition to the best selling book "Helter Skelter") has emerged and quite frankly makes a lot more sense...

In essence the whole thing stemmed Manson's people ripping off a drug dealer. Everything that occurred after that was a scheme by Manson to make the Gary Hinman murder along with those of Sharon Tate & crew and the LaBianca murders appear as being done by the Black Panthers in order to keep the Black Panthers from coming after Manson for the original drug dealer incident.

While the whole premise of "Helter Skelter" helped add additional darkness to the entire incident, it probably wasn't true.

Abigail Folger ended up being stabbed multiple times by one of the female Manson followers out in the yard.

So many unnecessary deaths that night.
