sure, that is what the chart says.
that is where the homework is done to see why.
considering he got less than 50% of snaps in college, that explains why it was less than average since he got less than average # of snaps.
that also explains lack of technique

where the judgement part of the draft comes in is whether you can turn quadrant b players to quadrant a.
cowboys have historically taken more talent than more college performance.
that is how they shoot for steals in draft in the 2nd round.
that applied to lee, jaylon, gregory.
many were complaining about the jaylon pick but he turned out to be a good pick.
if you dont draft in the top 10, then you have to take calculated risks to get special players.
Ok, but your comparison of Trysten Hill to Lee, Jaylon and Gregory fails in the sense that Lee, Jaylon and Gregory actually played and started big when in college compared to Hill who didn't.

he is simply rooting against hill at this point. it is almost senseless to discuss with him.
The truth hurts. When a player is overdrafted by the Cowboys, and his performance (or lack of it) on the field prove he was overdrafted, it's a hard pillow to swallow and admit to when personal feelings of support are involved for the player, coach(es) or team.

You have no idea what Hill is or what type of player he will be. Same goes for Thornhill.
Get over it, and just support the player for the team you claim to be a fan of.
Or you can just keep whining about it with the others. Give the player a chance other than limited play in 2 PS games.
Are you serious? Is your pride or love for the team so high that you can't admit when they overdrafted for a particular player or messed up by passing on a sure-fire starting material player over a longterm project? Of course one supports the team and wishes the best for any player wearing the uniform, but it doesn't mean one has to kiss up to their decisions 24/7. Get a grip. This is a discussion forum.

I have a grip, you need to look in the mirror.
It is not about pride, it is about reality. And no they did not overdraft Hill.
As I said it is way too early to say.

We will give him time and not say he was a bust but it hurts in what we passed up for a "marinelli" pick.

we don’t even know what Thornhill is yet tho. We’ve all been screaming for an under tackle for years, and everyone seemed on board. Obviously Rod was most enthusiastic, but even Richard seemed to agree he was the guy.

Ok. Let's just define what a bust is. A bust is a player picked in the first three rounds in the draft, that never became a starter and didn't receive a second contract from the team that drafted him.

Take Taco for example. He was a high draft pick who hasn't become a starter. So if Dallas doesn't offer him a second contract, then yes, he is a bust. (aka) Not good enough to keep.

So now let's all just take the wait and see route on Hill.

.....you got good point Jazzcat, so far he is 0-2. With 2 more games left and fighting for roster spot. I hope he does make the best of them. Worst that could happen, he goes to PS.

Overdrafting a player has nothing to do w/ how he turns out. It's all based on his potential as a player.

Since Hill went to a smaller Football school and didn't start and had problems w/ the coaching staff, I'd say he was overdrafted. Sometimes overdrafted players work out.

No1 has screamed for an under tackle. We've been screaming for a space eating 1T. We have an under tackle in m. Collins 5 sacks his rookie year at that spot. We need a safety and still need a 1T.

After the Rams game I wanted both tackle positions upgraded (assuming the problem was talent and not coaching, which I'm not entirely sold on).
All things being equal I prefer getting a better pass rush.
I'm not really sure though that Hill is up to the task.
