Pretty sure the fan base and FO would not find the humor in Zeke making the quip "Dallas who?" or "Cowboys who?" while he is holding out or right before he asks to be traded. So...I get it.

Jerry did clean it up after but the headline doesn't give the rest of his statement. Therefore, watch what you say during any negotiations.

Sure hope Jerry, the other owners and Goodell don't say anything stupid that causes the new CBA to be stalled or leads to a lockout or strike.

Zeke is saying "Dallas who" by not being here with his team.

I know this was brought up on Cowboys Zone before, but Jerry probably felt betrayed when Zeke held out. During Zeke's suspension Jerry basically stood up and took on the entire NFL on his behalf. And now Zeke is throwing a contract worth more than $50 million back in his face.

Stood up for him and lost money on top of it. This is a slap in the face considering how the past 3 years unfolded with off the field issues. He'd be paid already if he was smart, but he isn't.

I hope Zeke never plays a single down in 2019 and Jerry needs to sue his butt for breach of contract. See how disrespectful Zeke thinks that is. Zeke needs to stop being so petty and entitled and get his butt to work. He's rapidly turning into my least favorite Cowboy of all-time.

You think so? I don't. This isn't anyone's first negotiating rodeo. Both sides know how this works but they'll get a deal done and this stuff will be considered just part of the process.

To holdout 2 years early after the issues Zeke had, isn't smart and. He's still in the news for it. It makes Zeke look weak and entitled.

I'm not reading 17 pages but here is my take.

1. It was disrespectful. Jerry is an idiot and a big mouthed moron
2. Zeke should get the hell in camp.
3. Pollard can't replace him. Ask Charles Hayley about Derrick lassic.

Maybe I'm too out of touch at 41, but Zeke needs to develop thicker skin if comments like Jones truly bother him. Anybody could see the context.

I mean, come on, Zeke. Stop acting like an entitled little brat. Seems nobody can say anything anymore without hurting somebody's poor widdle feelins'.

I would LOVE that but I don’t think there’s a snowballs chance in hell that will happen.
Im thinking as this progresses Jerry might want to make an example of him and inflict some old school point of principle ethics on this entitled young man . Jerry has paid his dues to get where he is and I don't think he is going to tolerate being strong armed by some young buck with no ammunition on his side but Jerrys general kindness towards his players .

Jerry may show him that mistaking kindness for weakness is a big mistake in Zekes situation and to Pollards credit he is helping Jerry and the team prove a point .

Nobody is bigger than the best interest of the team you were given a very fair offer in light of the fact you really have no bargaining power so get ready pigs get slaughtered

That's what will add some urgency on Zeke's side. He has to be concerned that we could roll into the season and not miss a beat with Pollard. No one knows for sure but they say they've offered him top RB money.
You really said that?

Ah yes- if I recall correctly Haley flung his helmet into the locker room wall, narrowly missing Jerry, after a post-loss rant with Lassic in the backfield.

Good times. Season ended with another Super Bowl win. I miss the '90's.

Jerry helps himself. He know zeke draws in fans and is one of the best players on the team. Don't kid yourself.

Wonder if the rest of the team busting their butts at camp thinks Zeke'a holdout is disrespectful.

Cry me river. And win me something of substance before feeling like you deserve respect.

These young ones are always looking for a reason to be butt hurt and accuse somebody of not being sensitive of there feelings . All while not living up to there responsibilities. Jerry is like 50 yrs older than Zeke and grew up in a time when men were men and didn't have to be handled with kid gloves

I suspect it wouldn't actually qualify as a breach of contract. I don't think the contract can force him to play, it just means if he wants to play and get paid he has to play for the Cowboys.

I find it absolutely hilarious they are talking about disrespect. How about showing respect to the guy that stuck his neck out for you when you missed 6 game because of your poor choice in women and not holding out with 2 years left on your deal?
Exactly. Jerry has had is back through all his bs since day one. This is how you repay that? Zeke is a great player, but too selfish and immature. It's strange to me because I've met his mom and she is a really nice down to earth person.

If you’re Zeke it’s a poor joke.

That’s like saying with all due respect and in the next sentence being disrespectful.
He's holding out with two years in his deal.

Shut up, Zeke and agent.

This is a case of Jerry winning. When the other side gets this senstive in a negotiation it is because things arent going well.

The gloryholer upsetting you with a comment like that is about being in your feelings.

Eventually, the dreaded 5-day warning letter will need to be sent to Zeke, ending his season if he does not comply.
