Ranked as the 5th NFC team, that's where I have them going into the season.

Biased media, we should be #7. :lmao2:...again, J/K.
Just had to do that.
Don't really care, but I am surprised. But more surprised they have us ahead of the Steelers.

I don't get the love for Philly at all. That defense is going to give up a billion passing yards.

There's honestly no team in the NFC right now that has a better shot than Dallas, assuming Zeke is back.

Philly's roster is really good. Their offensive talent is arguably the best in football. If Wentz stays healthy (big if), they should put up a ton of points. Their weakness is, as you said, their secondary and they are still battling injuries there. But they have what could be a really, really good DL and they addressed a big weakness at MLB with Z. Brown, who is at least competent. Throw in a coach that has won a SB.............

It's not hard to see why Philly gets the love they do.

For the life of me I don't get the love for Philly and Chicago. And I'm not even a fan of the Texans but these rankings seem to dislike them. Every ranking has them low for some reason. I must be missing it on them.

Chicago has a really good defense and the media seems to think Nagy is the next big thing. Whether that's true or not, I guess we will find out. But of all the NFC "faves" I'd think the Bears are the one most likely to tumble because I am still not sure what Trubisky is.

Philly has a loaded roster and a coach that won a SB two years ago. Their big question is can the QB stay healthy. If he does, they should be one of the better teams in the NFC.

I don't buy their offensive talent as being any better than it was, they don't have a gamebreaker. Unless they lean on Goedert a ton more than they have - which, they might - they're going to be the same offense. It's good, but not good enough to overcome that defense, I don't think.

Desean Jackson can still get down the field and make big plays. He's an upgrade over their gaggle of #2 options they tried last year before trying to wedge Golden Tate in there halfway through the season. Note, I am in no way suggesting he's Tyreke Hill out there, but he's an upgrade over what they had last year.

Their TB situation is better as well with Howard and Miles Sanders compared to the hodge podge of slop they tried at TB last year.

So WR is better, TE is better (assuming Goedert improves over this rookie year), TB is better. I am not sure how one looks at them and says they are the same offense as last year.

Philly is going to be really good (well again, as long as Wentz can stay upright) and this division will be a dog fight. If they lose Wentz, Philly is cooked as there is no Nick Foles to save them this time around.

A few things.....

Bears could have the best record in the league next season. I see their potential. I just don't know what they saw from them last year to rank them so high but the potential is there. I don't like Nagy as much as they do. Their offense....not a fan of at all though.

Eagles.....this is not even my dislike for them. I just don't see this deep roster people talk about. And yeah I do agree that if Wentz stays healthy they very well could win the NFC East but to me at this point that's like saying what if Sean Lee stays healthy. Him getting hurt is a big possibility so that a lone is why I can't rank them him. Like I look at the Eagles roster and ours......not many of their position I'd take over ours. Fletcher Cox could start on any team in this league for sure. A lot of question marks on their team to say they are deep.

That offense is going to be built around Ertz. I just don't see what everyone else sees. Desean should help though.

I don't buy D Jax as a difference maker at this point in his career. He didn't really make big plays last year after like week 2, I don't know why we'd expect him to get better.

Howard sucks. Sanders might be good, but he's not much different than Ajayi.

The only possible difference is Goedert who, really, will see touches limited because he's behind Ertz. It's the Witten effect.

Peterson is too smart to do that. Dependence on Ertz held them back a ton last year.

I just don't think there's so much around him that it will make much of a difference.

Philly has depth along the OL and DL. They have some depth at WR with the addition of Jackson. They have two legitimate TEs. Their TB situation is much better than last year unless you are going to try to argue that Corey Clement and Josh Adams is no different than Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders.

It's peculiar that people think they are basically the same team as last year, especially on offense.
