He's still under contract he signed, what don't you understand about that?. A pay scale was bargained by his peers. He still has to show up or face whatever consequences that may come. Plus his *** has been in the news for the wrong reasons. His agent is stupid.

Its called SHOW ME THE MONEY JERRY.

Gotta pay.

If Zeke did this next year, it would be COMPLETELY fine. He's not only bigger than the rest of the league in the offseason, but now during it too. He's one of the best backs in the league, but he is far from a generational talent. The next highly overrated Cowboy.

Jerry has about 18 days to get Zeke his new contract.

Or we start losing football games.

we drafted Emmitt 1st round. And Dorsett.

Worked out ok with them.

Working out ok with Zeke too.
Man you’re comparing 1977 and 1990 NFL to 2016 NFL. With TD you’re comparing an already loaded team that had won 2 titles in the previous 6 years, and with Emmitt you’re talking a #17 pick. Not a top 4 pick.

And I think it’s shaky ground to say it’s working out with Zeke. He’s unquestionably a great player but he’s been a headache every year that he’s been here and you’ve got no trophies to show for it. I’m not saying it’s a bad pick, but you can’t really judge that until all is said and done. Right now is very much in the air.

I think a lot of people are turning on Zeke. I'm personally done with him and couldn't care less if he ever returns. Greedy SOB. Trade him to Buffalo. Him and Beasley can complain about the Cowboys together.
I'm almost there. I've said on here before my biggest issues with Zeke:
1) Dude, you have two years left on your current deal. Honor the contract you signed. Next summer, sure, talk about a new deal. But play another year.
2) The Dallas Cowboys have had his back from day 1. The Domestic Violence stuff, the car crash, St. Patrick's Day, bar fight, security guard, you name it. They never threw him under the bus.

Dallas should pay Zeke, but it needs to be a team friendly deal. I love that the F.O. isn't handing out these contracts like Halloween candy. They need to be firm in negotiations. Too many good players. Need to be smart with how much "pie" they all get. Their message today with Jaylon was be about the team and that there is only so much pie to go around. Come get yours before it runs out.

The more I think about it, the more insane Dak is to turn down $30 mil a year right now. If he hit the open market no team would pay him significantly more money. Dallas needs to stay firm with him. Don't be afraid to franchise him.

Bottom line with Zeke. Do you want to make 13-13.5 million a year and play with a contender in Dallas or do you want to make 14.5-15 million a year playing for Buffalo. I know my answer.

Over the years I’ve discovered that fans are extremely critical of everything our front office does. Either critical or cynical. The fans on this site are especially tough on the Jones family due to the long drought of success.

So when I’m reading such positive things about the front office’s stand regarding team contracts, I’m actually more than a little surprised.

To the players: when the fans start siding with the owner over your contract demands, you are in big trouble. That is rare air, maybe moreso in Dallas. When you start to lose the fans, you are in trouble. Time to talk to your agents and find a compromise. Get a fair contract signed, young guys.

If he had waited until next year with 1 season remaining under contract, many more fans would be on his side.

If he had waited 2 years and they Franchised him, then very few fans would blame the player.

Don’t you think Dak deserves some of the fan’s fury for wanting $40 million a year? At least Zeke is one of the very best at his position so he is justified for wanting to be paid like one of the best. Dak is rated at below average to average and he is wanting to be paid like the top QB in the league. Why no mention of Dak’s greed? Yes, when a player wants twice his value, it is pure greed with no consideration for the team.

No there not and the majority of fans know very well he's carrying Dak and the offense on his back.
Pay the man or go to war with #4 and his cannon arm and QB abilities.....may I wish us GL if it comes down to this scenario as it won't be a pretty one .......

Spoiled fans.

The worst.

Zeke makes less than 433 players in the NFL.

But he's a HB so who cares right??
Trust me come kick-off time #4 will big time...and in turn all of us...Pollard is here to save the day and if he can't and Dak is still throwing ducks we will just blame Kellen and Pollard....amazing stuff

LOL. Nice narrative creation but fans have ALWAYS sided with the owners because these deals are for millions and some average joes don't like being reminded that the millions aren't theirs. This is why players don't give jack squat what some envious fans have to say because they aren't the ones negotiating.

Over 50% of America live from paycheck to paycheck, do you really think anyone cares how little he is paid in comparison to multimillionaires?

LOL. Case in point.

Maybe they should work harder and exercise some "personal responsibility" to do better.

Nah. We’re just that much more gullible to the propaganda and the propagators of said propaganda.

Social media and the internet has melted plenty of minds. especially the minds of the people who told people like me video games would do the same to me.
