Dumb move caving in to Zeke. Just watch, other key players are going to start doing the same even if they have years left on their contracts. Terrible precedent to set in motion.

Well, it might be more wild card weekend glory, but at least we got some flashy player who make a lot of money. Man, I cannot wait to see Zeke's new jewelry collection.

Sorry, Coach, but I disagree. The Cowboys were 3-5 the first half of 2018 WITH ZEKE. Also, Zeke didn't do anything in the Rams playoff game loss when it mattered most. Couldn't even convert a game-costing crucial 4th & 1 conversion attempt needed at the Rams 30 yard line to help tie the game.
Disagree all you want, your still wrong. Your man crush on Dak has you talking crazy! Dak sucks!!!! Zeke rules!!!!!! :lmao2:

That’s because he is stuck with JG as his head coach. JG got owned in the rams game, that’s on him.

There isn't another player on this roster as good at his position or as important to this team as Zeke. It won't make a difference.

Adrian Peterson and Barry Sanders never won a playoff game. No correlation between team success and elite rbs. In fact, it might be inversely related. Philly just won a super bowl with Lagarrette Blunt starting. NE has nobodies at rb.

We just saw Zeke lay an egg in LA when we needed him most......so yeah, lets make him the highest paid rb in NFL history. He's earned it.

If they could get it done before my big fantasy draft next Thursday, that would be greeeaaatt.

All seriousness, this is going about how I thought it would. Zeke has no real leverage aside from missing games and the team playing poorly as a result. Jerry was always going to pay Zeke, just depended when and how much.

If Zeke isn't the highest paid RB in the league, than I would say Dallas won the negotiations. Zeke was holding out to be the highest paid back in the league. Reports are, it's less than Gurley, so therefore not the highest paid back. I would be happy if Zeke is signed for less than 14 million a year.

I get your point but if the contract isn't highest paid than Cowboys won.

If Zeke becomes the 2nd highest paid RB in the league, after holding out with 2 years on his contract and "no leverage", to say the Cowboys won is just a rationalization.

Frankly, both parties will have gotten what they wanted. Only people who are concerned with their place on a message board care who allegedly "won".

Pinche Zeke, he's the best!!!! He's so good, he converted this 4th & 1 attempt in the 4th quarter and led our Cowboys to a playoff win vs the Rams!

Zeke to the rescue!!!!

Oh, wait...

Pay the man early!!!!

I'm to the point where I have him at #2 on my board (Saquon is #1). I'd draft him. Melvin Gordon is a different story.

Correct. Zeke is a great player no doubt but I have notice that players that some like will never call out the negatives. When it's a player they don't like they call out every negative they can find with no positives. Zeke is a guy that never does anything wrong to some when in fact he has cost us games. Fumbles and running out of bounds against Seattle, not trying to tackle a guy after a pick, Denver game with 8 yards rushing, Rams game, list goes on. He has won is games too though.

Facts are that Dak is the most important player on the team followed by Cooper, Tyron Smith, Lawrence, Jones and LB duo of Jaylon and Leighton before Zeke

I'm not disagreeing with you cause you are correct but I feel if Dallas gets Zeke under contract and it's below Gurley contract than it favors the Cowboys.

I have always wanted Zeke but not at this crazy price he was asking. A deal that works for the team I'm ok with cause Zeke is a beast. With high contract demands and the hold out, I felt Dallas could make it without him, which we can. Dallas is a much dangerous team with Zeke though

Yup. Without Cooper, we miss the playoffs with Zeke on the field.

No other key player has the leverage. Wish we didn't resign DLaw. He could've been traded for draft picks.
