With Dak and Amari being chill re: contracts maybe this forum will be readable soon.
Probably not until the regular season, or may cut down day. I predict a " why did we pay Zeke that much" battle lasting the duration of preseason

Sorry, Coach, but I disagree. The Cowboys were 3-5 the first half of 2018 WITH ZEKE. Also, Zeke didn't do anything in the Rams playoff game loss when it mattered most. Couldn't even convert a game-costing crucial 4th & 1 conversion attempt needed at the Rams 30 yard line to help tie the game.
That's a tough one. can we call it the exception and not the rule?

I'll believe it when I see it with this supposed contract.

No other key player has the leverage. Wish we didn't resign DLaw. He could've been traded for draft picks.
Really? No other key player has the leverage? I can think of 1... and more important to the team.

Good thing Dak has respect, does not hold out or demand a new top overall position pay contract with years still left on his current one.

Lol! Sorry, bro! I always try to picture the guys that post on here. It's hard to take uncle Rico seriously!! Salud!!

Uncle Rico is a national treasure. He's every man of this board..........just think how different your life would be if coach had put you in......you could have taken state......turned pro......and be soaking it up in a hot tub with your soul mate. :D

Man folks in this thread don't realize the average yearly salary means hardly anything.

It is always fun to watch people who don't understand math try to interpret numbers.
It's funnier seeing some not understand the bad precedent Jerry is setting by caving in to players who hold out and demand top positional league pay when they still have years left on their current contract.

QBs don't hold out, especially Dak. If he has the leverage than why isn't he holding out now? He won't.

Dumb move caving in to Zeke. Just watch, other key players are going to start doing the same even if they have years left on their contracts. Terrible precedent to set in motion.

...yeah it might start something...for a little while anyway...then the FO office will re-structure the new rookie contracts accordingly (it might happen across the whole of the NFL)...new stipulations and penalties for trying to breach contracts...

Once Zeke signs there will be a lot of unhappy people on here. And money will have nothing to do with it.
It will be because the team increases its opportunity to get to a SB ten fold if not more.
And some are not happy with that.

It's going to happen. Just watch. Jerry should have never caved in. Other players, along with ours, will soon follow.

Yep, you can pretty much bet the farm Zeke won't be the last guy holding out a years early on rookie deals. If this happens, it will reverberate throughout the NFL.

Maybe this is a way of screwing the Giants? Saquon Barkley should start his campaign for a new contract next year.
