I was a fan of him as a player, but his time has passed.

The last thing we need is another distraction in this locker room. I wish him well and am glad he was able to somewhat rebound from this adversity.

Ro was an awesome talent and a tremendous combination of size, physicality, instincts and athleticism.
Probably even more overall pure physical ability than even Jaylon Smith.
Powerful and physical vs the run, and he displayed a feel and knack for dropping into passing lanes and getting the INT.

But he's a knuckle head who had a cruise control mode to him and only put in when the motivation so felt like it, . not a mature, good decision maker to keep himself out of the league's substance banned ways, and subject himself to one of the more addictive dangerous substances at that. Overall he just didn't have a drive and commitment to football.

Powers that be to let the team relinquish his rights and run amok. we've been thru too much with similar guys like David Irving, and it's time to start another page and book with a new fresh start and new approach.

If they want him he would have a roster exemption until he showed he was in playing shape.

It would be quite a statement if the Cowboys said "Nah, we're good."

Anyone knows how this works at this point? If he wants to play, he'd have report to us, right? Do the Cowboys have to take him at his last negotiated contract? Does he make that money while on the roster exemption?

Enquiring minds want to know.

I wish him the best of luck.
He has some demons for sure. While I’m sure it’s only the need of money bringing him back I hold no ill will.

He may have waiting a little to long with camps being over.

I wonder if that's part of the con, that we'd have to pay him weekly checks if we want to keep his rights.

And he's still only 30. If he only had a working brain

In some respects his brain works pretty well. Soaked the Cowboys for bonus money. Still is in arrears to the Cowboys for bonus he owes us back.

I sort of admire the con. Am interested to see if he can pull another.

We still own his rights

Anyone knows what it takes for us to *retain* those rights?

If he's not getting his salary til he's in play shape, I wouldn't expect them to cut him yet. If we have to pay him at his last negotiated contract starting today, then I expect we cut him.
