Mine will change.

Don’t like him at all as long as he’s holding out.

I’ll be his biggest fan once he signs!

Yes, I’m that shallow. Football watchin is fun for me, and I like to keep it simple and fun.

I got past having any delusions regarding pro sports well over 50yrs ago. Pro sports are engaging and often compelling entertainment, but they’re first and foremost a business. Speaking for myself, taking personally what happens business-wise between a team and a player seems fairly pointless.

The Dallas Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott are embroiled in a financial dispute. I want Zeke on the team because, IMO, his presence increases our team’s chances of winning. If he’s out there on opening day, that’s a good thing. But if he’s not, then it’s next man up, and nothing I can think, say, wish or do will change what happens.

If/when he’s back with the team, I’m not gonna hold any grudges against either Zeke or the Cowboys FO. To me, being a sorts fan is fun and games. There’s more important things in life to get upset about — such as running out of beer during a game. ;)

Hard for me understand why fans/posters get so stressed out over the money these guys are making. I mean we can post a 100K threads disapproval and not one is influencing Jerry or Stephen's decision. As long as they are balling on the field I could care less about their pay.

I know. It's like they act like there's some sort of salary cap in place or something.

Some people are just miserable.

He's my favorite player on this team, but I'll have to warm back up. He rubbed me the wrong way with the holdout. I'm all for players getting their money, but his situation was different

And when the well runs dry and they can't afford to be "balling on the field," Then what?

I'd like to see the bank statements from some of the people on CZ. I'd be willing to bet that some of you are up to your ears in debt yet can't figure out why. "It's only money. Screw the power bill. I'm gonna partaaaaaay."

I've been ready to move on, to look at trade offers involving 1st round picks, to enter the season in holdout status and see what Pollard provides first.

But now that it is looking likely....

:flagwave::flagwave::flagwave::flagwave::flagwave:

Go Zeke!

Haha for real though, I'm already flip-flopping and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Long term, I'm not a big fan of the idea. It doesnt fit the modern NFL and I think we all know that. But short term, this was a roster already looking SB capable. Now we secure the contribution of a bonafide superstar and I think we look like strong contenders in 2019 and maybe even the year or two after that.

Call me "just a fan" and maybe I need to turn in my armchair GM card. But I'm keeping my armchair HC card because this talent pool is salivating when you consider the onfield possibilities.

So be honest Cowboys Zone, where are you now and where will you be week 1 if (when) Zeke takes the handoff?

hell no, he is simple garbage

No opinion to change. Knew all along this was just business and not personal. It was an opportune time and they struck while the iron was hot. You can't look like you're about to use someone up and have them not try to protect themselves using what they have. I totally expected a deal to get done so there was no hissy fit anxiety or stress on my part. Zeke had the horses to make the Joneses play ball and we'll find out soon how lucrative that was. Tough day for the "deny Zeke anything" crew though. From willfully being ignorant of Zeke's leverage to chasing waterfall dreams of the Joneses refusing to deal, the veins in their foreheads are probably at capacity, lol. They're either on here melting down or just silent.

Literally the man's biggest payday. Only jealous losers would begrudge him this. Losers.

I'd be happy. Sign the man and pay him. He deserves it. Enough with any RB can run behind this line. Zeke is a beast.

Rather trade him and get value in return than over pay a position you can get production from cheap sources. Add on that he’s had so many off the field issues, and many not reported, I would not sign him to a huge deal. Train wreck waiting to happen

What is his worth with 2 years on a contract and off the field issues. That's the problem with his holdout.
….then you shouldn't ask for a raise until Performance Evaluation time.
