Did he though? If he was warning this would happen, I must have missed it.

He did on Talkin' Cowboys. He mentioned that because of how well the other corners were playing, the Cowboys weren't forced to put Byron Jones out there in a full-time role if they chose to be cautious. And that sounds like exactly what they're doing. It's not like Schefter said Byron Jones is inactive because he's not ready. He's saying he's not starting because the Cowboys don;t feel he has to play a lot. If by some chance, the starters are struggling, I'm sure that Jones will play more.

If they struggle against Manning and their bunch of receivers, heaven help us. Probably the weakest in the league.

I think this is a bigger deal than first thought. Maybe they want to see how Lewis brown and Cheeto do as the starters. Preparing for life after Byron ?

I don't think we score that much. More like 20-10.

I feel like we should beat destroy this Giants team but then I think about who will have a big game for us and I just don’t think any of our offensive guys have a chance of going off besides maybe Gallup..

I would’ve loved to see Pollard get 15-20 touches but that ain’t happening.

It's not a huge deal for this particular game. Giants have Shepard who's a high-level slot or quality no.2 WR but he's the only established wider receiver and he's a 5'10, 4.48 forty guy so isn't going to cause major mismatch headaches. It's Barkley and Evan Ingrams that present the biggest threat. I wouldn't mind seeing Jones cover Ingram as a big nickel corner on a limited snap count for this one game.
When did the Gnats cut Golden Tate?

Fine

Don’t let this become a 17 week issue with him being in and out

Either play him or put him on IR

I frankly have no idea who the Giants receivers are apart from Sterling shepard and Tate who is suspended.

It's likely to be Awuzie and Brown as the starters on the outside with Lewis playing Nickel (slot) CB.

Awuzie started 15 games last season.

In the game Awuzie missed Brown replaced him and Lewis replaced Brown as the Nickel CB.

Brown also missed 1 game last season and Lewis replaced him as the Nickel CB in that game.

If Lewis ever plays outside and plays well, I'm going to be POed. If he plays outside and sucks, I'll declare that they were right and I was wrong.
