They don't try and pay every player they resign to top dollar contracts? How many running backs have they paid over 8 million?

granted but still they are just sitting on such a cap deficit that they can just give 1 person 15 million right before the season begins? I have to give them props to be able to do that

Agreed, but I think he had reassurance from Belichek that he would sign him if he could get out of Oakland....he just had to figure out how to get out of there....all this craziness was to get what he wanted all along. The Patriots offered a 1st to the Steelers for AB, but the Steelers didnt want to give him to the Patriots so they accepted a 3rd and the 5th from the Raiders. Patriots then end up getting him for nothing....SMH
