To me, if you use a top 5 draft choice on a running back, he needs to have Barkley home run ability. I'm really happy with Zeke, but think he was taken a little higher than I would have liked. They're both outstanding.

Zeke’s had the breakaway ability when he was drafted. It’s just left him since then.

Saquon is the better back, though. No shame in that at all

Well that explains a lot, because not only did you not see my questions but you also didn’t see the Cowboys O line play the last two years, or possibly and other NFL team, which explains why you think they were so bad.

You also didn’t see the links I posted for you in this very thread, with a quote of yours, to alert you. And you STILL didn’t answer the questions that I tagged you with about 3-5 posts up. So for the THIRD time, will you answer my questions?
I believe I answered your questions, idc where a publication or website has had the oline ranked last couple of years. I believe I explained why. The pass blocking over-performed and run blocking underperformed last year regardless of where they were ranked by some ”website”. Is it harder to pass block or run block? Now factor that in with all the injuries

Does anybody reading this think the run blocking the last 2 years was ANYWHERE near Zeke’s rookie year? As I said the line made him look better his rookie year, last 2 he’s made the line look better than what they were, by fighting for 3-5 yards EVERYTIME.

Is it possible running backs can make the lines better than what they are? I have tons of Barry Sanders games on tape, want me to send usome? A line that makes the rb better would be like Emmitts line, although he was alltime great, or the hogs. THIS cowboy line is currently not ANYWHERE close to those, despite the reputation and money there. U ever watch the Broncos in the mid 90s-2000s? Davis, Anderson and a few others were putting up big numbers behind a smaller, more mobile offensive line. Anyone could see that was a great offensive line, especially running. Is this cowboy offensive line great???

Anyone here think the Cowboys are a top run blocking line the last 2 years? Has Zeke lost his speed and agility from the age of 21-24. How’d Morris do when he was out? How’d Pollard run today? Not great, I wonder why? Maybe the run blocking was terrible. Bad sign when there’s few holes to run through when the qb is putting up video game #s. Where’s the line ranked today when it comes to the run, pass blocking was almost perfect, but this line is gonna have to be WAY better run blocking

Ok, you don’t believe the most comprehensive site there is with regards to O line performance and you don’t believe the several other sites and analysts who put us as one of the top run blocking teams the past three years. Fine, some stats can be skewed, but I personally find those very straight forward.

So you answered one question with “I don’t care what a publication or website website has had the oline ranked last couple of years“. To back that up you just tell me the pass blocking over performed and run blocking underperformed.

I never said this line was the same as 2016 but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t top 5-10. I wasn’t talking about blocking today so that’s a moot point but being the Giants were almost dead last in the league last year in pressures and sacks and also happened to get rid of their two best pass rushers (not saying much) and replaced one of them with a “run stuffer” then I’m not surprised.

You still didn’t answer my second question. Since you’re telling me the run blocking wasn’t good in 2017 or 2018 (even though Morris actually averaged more ypc when Zeke was out so I don’t know why you asked that) then who were the top 10 run blocking O lines in ‘17 and ‘18?

It’s almost as if he wasn’t as effective as usual, I wonder why? Where’s Zeke ranked in the league in yards after contact? Probably towards the bottom huh
I thought you didn’t care what some website or publication says about rankings or does that only apply in situations that support your arguments?

To answer your question though, in 2018 Zeke was ranked 5th in rushing yards after contact and 10th in receiving yards after contact so once again you’re wrong. Do actually do any research or just throw stuff out there to see what sticks?

I think half of this forum is rooting for the wrong team...

What does having to do with who we think is a better RB relate to rooting for the wrong team? Am I a Patriots fan because I think Brady is better than Dak or because I think Bellichik is better than Garrett?

Some of us look at things objectively, other (aka homers) don’t and look at things subjectively.

I don’t believe any site that says the cowboys were better run blocking than pass blocking last year. Like I said it’s harder to pass block than run block, especially when u factor in substitutions due to injury. This oline has been manhandled in games like Denver and in the playoffs against the rams. Count the holes Zeke had to run through, it won’t take long. Reputation and money-wise this line has underperformed the last 2 years. I doubt you’d find many to disagree with that

If Morris was a quality backup why’s he off the team, twice? I wonder if opposing teams scheme differently with Elliot out??? Would that explain his ypc? I’ve asked u about 20?’s without an answer. Does a website that ranks offensive lines factor in the quality of a rb? Do some rbs make their lines better? Would Zeke be a quintessential example of that? Was the interior of the line weak today like large parts of last year? Why was a perceived bad giants line able to open up huge holes for Barkley? Why has a line with tons of money/all pros/pro bowlers not doing the same the last 2 years? Why are Zeke’s big runs coming from bouncing outside after his rookie year? Has Zeke lost his speed and agility from the age of 21-24?

Do I think the Cowboys are anywhere near a top 5 run blocking team the last 2 years hell no, especially last year, even 10 would be quite a few spots too high imo. I doubt you’d find any cowboy fan that would say this was anywhere near the 5th best run blocking line last year

I watched quite a few games today and the run blocking was Some of the worst I saw all day, especially when u factor in Dak was almost perfect passing. Not really a moot point when this group struggles opening up holes for extended periods of time and today was yet another example of that

Some of you do look at things objectively, no doubt. Some just like to hate.
