Yes Dak had a great game, Yes the Giants aren't that good of a team. Yes it's only one game.

But beyond the score, or the tds are the subtle things:

5 different receivers scored tds.
Zeke wasn't forced to carry the ball 20 times and catch 5 passes in his first game back.
Dak hit several pinpoint throws, other games maybe one.
Dak ran the ball only by design except maybe one time.
Short 2nd downs, they went just for the first down (a la Tom Landry), didn't take risks in a pretty certain of a win game.
Moore seemed to know what he wanted to do, didn't see any indecision, seemed to have a good game plan.
After the early lead by the Giants, the Cowboys didn't panic.

Only one game, but there's a difference about this team, and that's encouraging...

New season, great win and yet same arguments. I have always described Dak as a dink and dunk game manager.. and that is both a positive and negative. I think our TEAM can have great success with Dak as a dink and dunk.

There shouldn't be an overreaction to the game either way. These are factors:
- Giants secondary is poor (like very poor)
- Giants pass rush is poor (non-existent)
- It is one game
- If you go through the tape of every catch.. most throws were behind the receiver. Most throws were made from a clean pocket (see above) and to a receiver that was wide open (not NFL wide open but legit wide open). There were 3 spectacular throws to tight windows.. the rest were either poor throws to safe throws.
- 1 spectacular game should never equal a huge contract

So I will be keen to see how we go this year.. we have a lot of weapons on offence.. our OLine is getting back to dominant.. Zeke will be better for the run and our defence looks better than it has been for years.

I'm confident the Dak deal will get done but I wouldn't be paying overs.. he is a game manager and there are lots of them around.
