With all the contract talk, I had forgotten they signed Cobb. Looks like the Giants did too.
After one game it is difficult to disagree, let's see how it is after ten games. I like Beasley, he is a football player, the ball delivery system in place in Buffalo is below what Beasley had in Dallas IMO. Great game for receivers today
Beasley was great in the role he played here but he listened to his wife and posse which caused him to think he should be valued like Mike Irvin in his prime instead of Kelvin Martin.@xwalker Well, we will get an even better comparison next week when Beasley and the Bills take on NYG. It will be a little more of an apples to apples comparison. I liked Beasley when he was here. Didn't like him recently mouthing off. So far, it sure looks like it was the right decision to move on from Beasley. If Beasley can't put up good numbers against NYG than it might be buyer's remorse for the Bills.
69 niceBeasley (Bills)
55% catch rate
40 yards
4.4 yards/target
Zero TDs
Notable Play: Pass bounced off his hands and returned for a pick-six.
Cobb (Cowboys)
80% catch rate
69 yards
13.8 yards/target
1 TD
Notable Play: Huge play to get a 1st on 3rd & long in the Redzone.
they arent the same players really, Cobb may have replaced Beasly but Cobb a downfield guy more then a short burst space guy.. so if we get consistency from him all year he is the better player, hes more versatile.. the issue is hes long in the tooth how does his legs etc hold up all 16 games? does he get injured again, his career is plagued by injuries..Beasley (Bills)

Hard to compare those WR's when the difference in talent at QB is so great.
But clearly Cobb will be better for the Cowboy offense than The Bease was.

a heathy Cobb is for sure a slight upgrade but unfair to comp as they are very different players..BOTH are role players and im sure Cobb wont always be that efficient as Gaallup and Amari will be primary targets most game and Zeke will eat more each game.. its nice to know when teams challenge us to throw we have way more options this season from game 1 as opposed to game 8..they have to rethink stacking the box on Zeke and Pollard now because of this game..
Pick your poisen and IF KM can make them pay for whichever one they try and take away, this team is going to succeed..
I hope Cobb stays healthy, but if he does miss games I think Devin Smith can fill in well. Not sure about Noah Brown's status but he's a different type of receiver anyway.

Why not?You simply cannot compare these 2. I take it these were yesterdays game stats. Good ole beazz, maybe the bounce pass was due to him running down the field with an image of JJ saying" Beasly who"? LOL
yes and yes BUT hes long in the tooth you worry about his legs late in the year..lets pray he and this offense has more of these days in them..I know this wont be weekly occurrence.. hopefully KM shows defenses we can win with powerful run game that if you come down to stop, they will go wide open and different then years past where it seemed like if the game plan went south the in game adjusments were not made.. KM will need to prove this over 16.. sure im happy but im not overreacting either way..Almost all of his missed games came in 2 seasons when he had a significant injury.
In the other 6 seasons he averaged 15 games per season played and some of those were likely a veteran not playing game 16 prior to going into the playoffs.
In his earlier years he was the ultimate quick strike 3rd down conversion slot WR which is the role that Beasley developed into.
The Rodgers to Cobb quick pass on 3rd down was something everybody knew was coming but defenses could rarely stop it.
The other things Cobb can do better than Beasley are just a bonus (down field threat, better in the redzone, line up at outside WR, reverses, jet sweeps, line up at RB, etc..).
