if moore's schemes and playcalling are successful, when will other teams try to poach him?
everybody wants their own mcvay
he would be one hot commodity as in the case of kingsbury.

He's the future HC of the Dallas Cowboys IF he proves to be the goods over a full season. No way the Joneses allow him to get out of the building. That's a big IF however...

JJ's pretty adept at keeping those he favors (McClay, and even Garrett when a couple other teams tried to lure him when he was OC). I suspect he could do the same with Moore, though nothing's a given. He could very well tell Moore he's the HC-in-waiting. JMO

Takes more than just play calling to be a HC. He needs leadership, he needs to have the balls to handle big egos, players and assist coaches included. He needs to command respect from referees, etc. There are a lot of great coordinators that do not have what it takes to be a HC. Plus, with the loaded roster we have, many won't give him the credit he may deserve.

I wouldve been a great coach, I wouldve went into the locker room and knocked a playas nose off if they looked at me wrong!!!

Just going along with the idea a team or teams want to interview him for HC position, then it would be around the time of the playoffs like all other years.

You are 100% correct but if he's a hot OC, he will def get a chance to show if he's not head coaching material ( see Norv Turner and about 50 more lol)

He's gone. Look, that's the deal. You can't stop the kid from becoming a head coach somewhere and having his own program. There's no salary cap on coaches, but this isn't about money it's about ambition.

If the Cowboys' offense continues on this hot streak and they make a run for the Super Bowl, Garrett stays, Moore gets another job and Kitna is probably your offensive coordinator next year.
If the offense flounders and the Cowboys don't make the playoffs, they're both fired anyway.

The only scenarios where Moore stays are - 1) Cowboys win a Super Bowl and Garrett retires into the front office, Moore gets promoted to head coach or 2) The offense stays hot but the Cowboys get bounced from the playoffs due to some big coaching mistake. I actually believe that years from now we will find out that Jerry came close to firing Garrett after his conservative approach in OT against the Texans' game in 2018.

yup they are still stinging from SPeyton...

tough part is if KM is successful we most likely are as a team very successful, how does Jerry fire garett? tough pill to swallow if they make it to a NFCCG or aSB . how do you look at JG and say sorry but thanks for the ring but we are moving on? I know he did it with Jimmy but that was different..???

be a conundrum..

...possibly...but if he's truly a "genius"...he should be able to handle it...I see him staying with Dallas no matter!...

Technically he doesn't have to fire him. Garrett's contract is over at the end of this year.

My coaching tactics would rely heavily on pain aversion. Each mistake draws a zap from a device secured in their jockstrap.
