The guards pulling on the play-action pass was my favorite play during the game. My reaction was the same as the person (Chris Simms) in the video, "Oh shoot"

I love it when a plan comes together. Dallas is being innovative. Decades of fans screaming and the staff finally listened.

Yes I noted that in the OP...10 seconds after the post. There was no way to fix the title, though.
Maybe ask a mod to do it. Sorry, I guess I jumped on it before you had a chance to correct it. I'm guessing it was just one of those things where you've been hearing and saying the name for so long, it just came out, even though you knew who it was.

It was a very interesting video. Good find!

I don't think that we can understate the importance of the John Kitna hiring. That combined with Moore calling the offense is going to pay huge dividends this season, IMO.
Yes, Kitna is a big part of it but Dak had started the change last season.

He had altered his motion in camp and started the season with it but the ball was not coming out of his hand consistently and he reverted back to his old throwing motion.

I was certain he was start working on the new motion again as soon as the season was over.

Is it true that few teams run true play action?

I noticed a few things right away on Sunday. First was the offense's crisp exit from the huddle, in and out and up to the line with 20 secs left on the play clock. The ball was coming out quicker and Dak's release seemed quicker too, but the biggest change I noticed in Dak was the velocity with which he threw the ball, and watching Simms break it down I see exactly what he's talking about. The Cowboys ran more crossing routes than I've seen in more than a decade, and the whole route tree seemed to be five yards deeper.

Yep, it's a lot quicker release too.

Like a lot quicker this year.

There's only one conclusion to make here: Although already good, Dak is still evolving and putting in the necessary work. And doing it with a winner's mindset.

The players like playing for Dak. You can see it.
