Well shoot man did you tell Jerry that? Think there's a job waiting for you in the league...

Congrats on not liking a pick, being right, and being able to successfully point to that as a reason why you're a better talent evaluator of our current players than the FO. No cherry picking involved, I'm sure

If you want to go through a list of where I was right and this team was wrong, say the word. There are plenty. But I'm sure you:

  1. Wouldn't believe it anyway
  2. Can't bear to hear about all the times your favorite team screwed up
If you choose to be someone who blindly follows whatever the team does and blindly assumes that whatever they do is right, that's your problem. Don't expect me or anyone else to have that same problem. Because I don't.

Dang you must be a really tough guy. I would actually like for you to take the time to list them all out though. Seems like a useful exercise

I’d trade Taco Lewis and Maher for a new kicker... probably through in a 6th or 7th too... Maher WILL cost this team at least one game... and it’ll probably be in the dumbest way possible too, like missing a 28 yarder in the 1st quarter...
Not if we're getting TDs

I want to see it. It has to be the full list though. Don't come at me half-assed and abridged. Really explore the space!

Another failed, 'check your brain at the door' assumption. If they were as perfect as you want to think, we wouldn't be having this conversation, but that clearly also never occurred to you.

Can we start with WR Roy Williams this time?

If telling the truth makes me a "tough guy"? Then yep!

Hold your breath while I do it.
Only the insane declare things that are clearly, by definition, opinions as "truths."

Newton's Three Laws just became 4, and the fourth is: Stasheroo knows more about Taco Charlton than the Dallas Cowboys

Trade him back home (he played at Michigan) to the Lions for safety Will Harris, who we supposedly wanted bad in the draft. He was the Lions 3rd round pick, so I doubt they would want to give up on him so quick, but he's not in the 2-deep currently and they are thin at DE.
I would do that in a heartbeat, but it will never happen.

I've never been a fan of his, but thought he played well in the pre-season. There must be something else going on behind the scenes. A better backup QB would be nice.

Like I said, we all don't "check our brains at the door" they way you do. I know that thinking for yourself can be burdensome for some people - it obviously is for you - but some of us can handle the effort involved.

I doubt they give up picks in a rebuilding year.
And, any player worth a damn there they may want to keep unless it's a soon to be UFA.
Agree.

A team like the Dolphins is more likely to give up an expensive veteran than a draft pick.

If the starter in front of him was not injured, a player like Safety Karl Joseph from the Raiders is the type of trade that would make sense. He is not a favored player by Gruden but was a one time 1st round pick.

It won't be Joseph, at least not until the starting Safety is back to 100% but there must be some other players in similar situations.

Yup. I can't think of any player on the Dolphins I would really want.
Minkah for all his draft talk has yet to be placed at FS by two coaching staffs now. They put their former slot corner in McCain out there at FS who was giving away his intentions quite a bit, allowing Jackson to audible to a deep pass.
Reshad Jones cost too much and is more of a free lancer, without the elite athletic ability to make up ground.

DL Wilkins isn't available and Godchaux was a decent 4-3 DT but they need bodies there.

Nothing on offense excites me there either. Except for Chandler Cox lol. I'm a sucker for a traditional 90's Fullback.

I have a feeling the Cowboys want a pick, which would make the Quinn addition seamless next week. That, and I have a feeling they really like the upcoming duo of Heath/Wilson at the SS spot.

so he MIGHT or MIGHT NOT be on the trade block to a secret team about a secret player.. wow a nice speculation thread..

IMO we need help at DE I know Quinns coming but what I saw last game is not much rush at all..

getting a 5-7 for taco IMO is just throwing him away so it has to be for a real upgrade at a weak postion ie player for player..if not just play the dude..

Minkah Fitzpatrick started 11 games in 2018.

Are you saying that those were all at Strong Safety?

Mostly slot corner. It was Howard and McCain on the outside, and Fitz in the slot, which he did well at.
Till injuries started to pile up and he went to boundary(meh) and some safety play.

In his first season, Fitzpatrick started his career primarily as the nickel back or slot corner. He mixed in some safety work, too, but played in more than 80 percent of Miami's defensive snaps twice in the first eight games. Since then, he's played at least 96.5 percent of the defensive snaps in every game, started at outside cornerback in the 13th and 14th contests with NFL interceptions leader Xavien Howard sidelined by a knee injury and started at safety in the most recent game with T.J. McDonald out.

Good lord you're a self-righteous **** - no wonder you have 50k posts, you can't go into a single thread without having to tell everyone there you're smarter than they are
